We were accommodated in 'Landhaus' which is a very spacious room that was well designed with a huge comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom.
Although we didn't have breakfast, we did have our evening meals in the restaurant. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced. As part of the tourist tax we were given tickets for free travel on the local trains and busses. We caught the train from the local station (5 to 10 min walk) into Freiburg for the day - quick, easy and free!
There is a honesty fridge in the common area with wine and soft drinks, a great idea.
We had a great two night stay and would not hesitate in coming back!

White storks nesting on the church and herons on the cemetry. Ideal location for excursions to Freiburg (15 minutes to the parking houses) and 20-30 minutes to most of the southern parts of the Black Forest (Hinterzarten, Titisee, Feldberg etc.), great choice of of promenades and hiking trails.
Hotel is perfect especially for families with children. The suite was spacious, very clean and seems newly renovated. our experience was completely different, staying in a family owned & operated hotel in a beautiful suburban town 10 mins away from Freiburg city center and sleeping with our windows open feeling the nice cool weather at night. Even though the rooms are renovated but you can still sense the authenticity of the place. The staff were amazing, very helpful, caring and tentative, they made our stay extra special.
Good location, very big room with a kitchen, a decent size fridge and an integrated picture-like air conditioning, good breakfast and private parking (not very big compared to the size of the hotel), separate entrance so you do not have to pass through the reception all the time. Close to the town center where you can eat and walk around nicely or take a train to the city.
Perfect place to stay in Kirchzarten. 10-15 minute walk from train station. Middle of little town. Breakfast great! Also has restaurant......very good food for great value.

The old building is really interesting and it's been well restored. The room is nice and big. We really enjoyed the restaurant and the food was tasty. It was easy to take the train into the city from the hotel.
