We had a lovely room/studio on the top floor in the rear building away from the main road. It was quiet. The location of the hotel is very good. We enjoyed a nice breakfast with a good range to choose from. The staff were very nice and helpful. There are plenty of good restaurants in the town, particularly on the "island" part of town. We also made use of the open air swimming pool in the town which was very good.
The check-in was smooth and the lady at the reception was very kind and suggested a good restaurant. The rooms were clean, spacious and everything that we needed was there. The car park was free and easy to park. The hotel is situated a bit away from the city so you have to take the car if you want to visit the city but that was fine with us. Overall, we had a good stay. The hotels name and photos don't do justice to the hotel in my opinion. I really think it is a great hotel (I don't know why they call it boarding house ... )
Excellent facilities and very friendly management at the hotel. Smallest of details are taken care of top precision. For example the chocolates and bottled water in the room are all included and presented very well. Beds and linen are super clean. Bathrooms have a shining finish, spacious and even has a tub. windows are all electronically controlled and tastefully colored. overall for the price they offered it really was a great and luxurious experience - Room No. 307 stayed from 5th to 7th May 2023

Overall good place to stay. The manager was very helpful and we could store the bike in the basement. Breakfast was very good and the room was comfortable. Grocery store right across the street and you can even purchase a meal and then use the microwave to eat in the dining area of the hotel. Recommended.
Double room was quite large - room was clean and well appointed, including electrical outlets on the nightstands which are often missing at other hotels. Restaurant was outstanding for dinner. Great service. Free and dedicated parking area. Quiet street. Key access if out late to enter hotel.
The apartment in itself is really beautiful and is indeed very tastefully decorated. The location is great, Donauworth is a very nice village with a train station (easy for visiting nearby cities) and you can make beautiful bike tours. Unfortunately the apartment also has some disadvantages.
