The location was OK, it was a good point for moving around in Schwarzwald. The hotel and staff were very nice, spa area was very good as well , we had sunshine so we could also stay outside in the garden on lauge chairs. Breakfast was good as well.

Beautiful, quiet area. Nice hotel. I wish that the hotel provided a written guide to the hotel amenities. I had no idea that there was a choice of Restaurants, no idea where the Pool was! No information was given at check--in. No information was available in the room.
The village was nice and Freudenstadt was easy to get to and explore. I wasn't there for activity, only for rest and the Traube Tonbach was good but Interaction of Rezeption Staff was poor. I didn't feel very welcome there.

I was visiting friends; we either walked or they drove me everywhere, but Baiersbronn seems to have good bus and train service; I don't think a car is needed to enjoy the area. It offers gorgeous views and many wonderful paths. We visited the Mummelsee one day and the Buhlbach glass museum another. That day we ate at the Forellen Hof there and combined with a walk through the forest, overlooking the valley, that was a great outing.
I like everything about my stay! This is one of the best and most comfortable hotels i have ever stayed in. The room is small, but it has everything that I needed. Staffs were very friendly, despite being so busy serving the restaurant customers. The cleanliness is chef kiss. I also love the bathroom and toilet. They also provided free drinks in the minibar. The hotel is easy to reach from the train station. I have nothing to complain about, really.
We loved the spacious rooms and the beautiful indoor pool facilities. I wasn’t able to go in the hot tubs outdoors because of my 3 year old, but it looked lovely as well. The staff was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and friendly. They upgraded our room to a suite, away from the street when we arrived. It’s also nicely convenient to the playground, several restaurants, the bookshop and bon bon (candy) shop (highly recommended!)
Hotel Hirsh is a very nice family owned hotel, so you have a warm atmosphere and you get everything taken care really personally. Breakfast and dinner are also really good.
We had the unfortunate situation that the pool was not functioning on the day we went and this was one of the main reasons of going there, but we an upgrade on the room and drinks on the house for that inconvenient, so I would still recommend the hotel.
The room was decorated in traditional German style, the decoration was so cute! the best part - the balcony opens to an amazing view of the mountains and we can even see the Baiersbronn words on the hills! Breakfast was very good! lovely spread and super fresh. Memorable stay & wished we stayed longer at this cute hotel.
We really enjoyed the kind staff at Hotel Engel Obertal, as well as the beautiful surroundings. Our room was very large and comfortable, and we had a huge balcony. We also enjoyed the bar. I loved all of the pretty flowers outside that were so well tended. Wait staff in the restaurant were attentive and friendly.
The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the mountain. The fact that there was construction opposite to the hotel killed the view a bit. The breakfast spread is fairly the same across most European hotels but the lack of baked beans in tomato sauce (which is a staple in all European breakfasts) surprised me!
It was fantastic! They are very friendly, breakfast was very good, they gave us some pretzels extra for on the road. There is also a very good bakery inside the hotel. The location and Baiersbronn is beautiful. I would definitely come back, We stayed here on the way to Italy and when we came back.
Very traditional, friendly hotel in a perfect setting, so peaceful and all the staff were very accommodating and good fun. Food is excellent too, we enjoyed dinner there every night of our stay. The balcony of our room was a lovely place to relax after a day of touring round the Black Forest

The room was acceptable in size, but we only got a minibar after asking for it. Value for money below expectations. Fantastic indoor swimming pool. The Schwarzwald Plus pass we received allowed us to play golf without having to pay greenfees.
