Town square was the highlight, but all of the Altstadt is attractive and interesting. Go to Schroderer Brau restaurant good atmosphere and food. Three days is ample time, can easily be enjoyed in two.
We are very happy to stay in the apartment. Everything is in accordance with the information, the apartment is completely renovated, very clean, nice and modern. It has everything you need during your stay. Very good contact with the owner, for the information you need. Very good location in the city. If we return to Amberg in the future, we will definitely use this apartment again. We wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you very much Tobias.

Such a cool hotel. Staff is amazing. The hotel really thinks of all the small touches to bring the prison theme full circle. Shower was amazing! Wooden sliding bathroom door, prison style sink, comfortable bed. Great location, close walking distance to the marktplatz.
Small old style hotel but modern, if that makes sense. Parking can be tight, so plan ahead. Room was spacious with very modern bathroom. Easy access to the pedestrian and shopping area. Restaurants and cafes are easily accessible. Breakfast small but good.

Beautiful hotel! Very clean. Downtown location. Beautiful wellness area. The breakfast room in the rooftop bar area has amazing views of downtown. The breakfast buffet is excellent. directions.. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again.
Staying in a 'prison' makes for an interesting experience! Very friendly staff and, overall, a great place to stay in the centre of Amberg. The hotel is also well set up with facilities for cyclists. Very good.

Loved the hotel itself (building/grounds), the check-in process was a breeze, location was good, a very charming very german property. It felt dated, but in a good way, like mid-century 60's charm.
