Town square was the highlight, but all of the Altstadt is attractive and interesting. Go to Schroderer Brau restaurant good atmosphere and food. Three days is ample time, can easily be enjoyed in two.
We are very happy to stay in the apartment. Everything is in accordance with the information, the apartment is completely renovated, very clean, nice and modern. It has everything you need during your stay. Very good contact with the owner, for the information you need. Very good location in the city. The hotel is located in the perfect spot, close to the train station and on the edge of the Alt Stadt. The hotel is an old Bavarian building with modern bathrooms and furniture. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast which was included in the hotel price was good with delicious coffee. We were on a bicycle tour while staying there. The staff provided us excellent bicycle storage within the building.
I loved the modern look throughout and the ability to use my phone to unlock doors. The rooftop bar was excellent as well, with wonderful cocktails offered along with a 360 view of the city. I also enjoyed my spa time, also located on the rooftop. The location is close to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Everything!!! What a charming property in an enchanting little town. You can walk to shops, restaurants, cafes and historical sights. Service was top notch and the prison vibe was just right....interesting but not too cheesy. This was my second visit and will be my accommodation of choice next time I am in Amberg.

The hotel is in walking distance to everything! Room was comfortable and cozy. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Will definitely stay there again if I return to Amberg. They also offer covered parking for an additional fee, well worth it!!
Nice location not too far from a walk to the center of the town and the hotel is quiet at nighttime. Swimming pool near the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was limited but nice.
Loved the hotel itself (building/grounds), the check-in process was a breeze, location was good, a very charming very german property. It felt dated, but in a good way, like mid-century 60's charm.
The rooms were clean and serviced almost daily. The top floor breakfast area / bar was cozy. The hotel is under renovation but for the most part, its modernized compared to the historic exterior.
