The charm of this enchanting fairy tale city in the Czech Republic is best experienced during winter when snow covers magical Český Krumlov Castle. Lying along the banks of the Vltava River, the historic old town comes alive during summer when cafes and restaurants overflow with the influx of tourists.
The castle makes an imposing backdrop against narrow cobblestone streets and a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture in its old buildings. Choose an art gallery, museum or theatre like the 17th-century
Castle Baroque Theatre, located inside the castle’s beautiful gardens.
Walking around Český Krumlov’s historic streets is a journey back in time, and the best way to soak up its Bohemian atmosphere. Your walk can be easily interrupted at one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars serving local dishes and drinks.
As the home of pilsner beer and the original Budweiser beer, the Czech Republic has a long tradition of brewing. Pivovar Eggenberg is a brewery dating back to the 14th-century and provides tours of the brewing process.

What a beautiful little town. It is full of charm and history. Be aware that it is all cobblestones in the old, scenic part of town, so the walking is more challenging than on regular paving, and there are also hills. But we loved our day and a half there. Don't miss the Baroque Theatre at the castle, it was a highlight. We enjoyed the free walking tour that leaves from the tourist info centre - it was interesting and informative.
Our best meal was at Lumiere Restaurant, on the town square. Both our appetizers particularly were delicious.

The town is like a fairy tale, with a beautifully preserved old town and beautiful buildings from the Middle Ages. It is not big, so it can be visited in 2 days, but it is certainly a unique experience, observing the panorama of the city or wandering through the narrow streets. Vltava gives the whole impression an additional charm.

The town is beautiful and the castle very impressive.
The town is beautiful and the castle very impressive. It felt a bit like Disneyland, though, with the hordes of tourists everywhere. We were surprised when we walked back into town in the evening for dinner and found the streets empty! All the day-trippers had left. We enjoyed the castle tours; I was a tad disappointed to not see any tours for the theater online in English the day we were there, and then to discover that there was one just after the tour we went on (in German)! It didn't look full, either. We spent two nights / 1.5 days there, and that was plenty.

Picturesque place,.it is a.must to.visit it, it is maybe my fifth time I come as it is a unique.place.
There are many places.to.go.for a walk, you only need to.go.and discover them!
There is an area with supermarkets out of.town but yoi.can go there on foot. However, If you don't have time for that walk, you will find some potraviny shops in town which are open till.late.
It is better to.go.in.summer because everytjing is open all day and you can explore.the place.in the day light.
You will feel you are in a fairy tale

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again.
I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again. If so, I'll stay in a campsite (though the penzion wasn't the problem); much better to visit on a canoe trip. Hideously high prices and and as few locals as in Venice. Gigabites of fake Instagram grins and very little of real interest. The Art Centre was a disappointment with few originals from Egon Schiele but the food: I have never seen so much profiteering with so little by way of quality or service culture. The travel hostel was the exception, though I hesitate to write this down unless it sees fit to gouge prices.
I liked the river and some of the walks. And it irritated me less on a Wednesday when many tourists had left.
The hotel is located under the Stone Bridge that enters the peninsula of Český Krumlov historical center. It looks attractive as you approach it. The reception service was nice and we got free welcome drink. We chose a room with river view and it was great to see the castle and the river outside. The room is good, even if with some non-obvious and non-impactful wear and tear. From the hotel it is extremely easy to enjoy the area. The breakfast was ok. Good experience.
Stay here for the best location in Cesky Krumlov. The hotel is literally on the bank of the Vltava River and across from the castle. Our room had a large living room with chandelier and balcony overlooking the castle and river. Very Instagramable!
The front desk was welcoming and helpful. Mulled wine and hot chocolate served in the evening for strolling the medieval streets with a hand warmer. So nice to stay overnight in this gorgeous town rather than a day trip.
close to bus arriving from Prague
the unit was very comfortable
the view over the hills and over Cesky Krumlov lovely, as well as the church bells ringing across the valley.
lovely information from hosts, and advice about local restaurants
easy walking from accommation to the castle and also into the hills for exercise
yummy breakfast prepared by hosts
I would recommend staying at the Villa to anyone who appreciates comfort, good food and peaceful stay.
Me, my wife and our 8 months old daughter had a wonderful experience. Beautiful, lovely and cozy boutique hotel which I strongly recommend… Whoever wants to go to the Cesky Krumlov, definitely should put this hotel in their list for staying. Beamish and helpful staff, nicely decorated rooms, odorous candles, romantic atmosphere, wonderful breakfast (delicious white yogurts and scrambled eggs btw :)), all in all this place make you feel like you’re at home…
Super helpful friendly check-in by Alex. Amazing location right beside a great boating rental shop, delicious ice cream shop and late night mini market. Fully equipped hostel with hairdryers in clean shared bathroom and kitchen area with fridge and free coffee tea. Luggage storage option available. Airy bright historical building structure. Absolutely recommended and definitely a welcome back everytime to my future Český Krumlov trip!
A wonderful historic building has been beautifully converted into a comfortable, modern hotel without losing the charm of the building (e.g. rooms have carved wood furniture; lovely rain shower in a compact, functional bathroom with a fan; elevator). The reception staff are warm and welcoming. The hotel has a superb location close to the river and castle.
Everything is amazing with this place!
The room is really big and the view of the old city and the castle are nice.
Owners were great and gave us recommendation for restaurants and things to do. The breakfast was the best I have ever had!
Also, very close to the center, only few minutes of walk.
Would recommend this hotel to everyone who's around!
Good location, nice wellness area and fantastic environment, the room was pretty big with a private terrace and a small garden. They have a good selection from their distillery and choco farm which you don't want to miss! The restaurant is really good too!
The hotel also gives you a free parking spot in Český Krumlov city center, which is a plus.
The owner was very nice and very accommodating. The parking lot was included and almost always closed in the courtyard. The rooms were very clean, but we expected more from the rooms. The prices are very good for Český Krumlov. Do not order from Pizzavervis (the restaurant next to the hotel) – it is a Tourist Trap.
The location on the river was amazing along with the breakfast patio seating! The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was helpful and gladly held our luggage for us after checkout! We would highly recommend the Garnihotel Castle Bridge.
Near bus station stations and Cesky Krumlov castle. We can walk any travel attractions.
The room is perfect clean, new, wide.
We could get free coffee 24 hrs from coffee machine at lobby.
And the quality of breakfast is perfect.
Very good option if you visit Cesky Krumlov. The small hotel is very close to inner city, about 7-8 minutes walk. The breakfast is a good start for the day. Reception staff was nice, smiling and helpful. Very clean property.
HostelSkippy is a very friendly hostel, we were met by an extremely kind staff and the room was just beautiful! We had a view directly at the river and we couldn't have asked for a better stay at Cesky Krumlov! Thank you.
Comfortable, located in an amazing location near Cesky Krumlov, no problem to park and no tourists around, this location is also in a strategic distance from all of the notable landmarks around.
Highly recommended.
We are staying one or two time in Cesky Krumlov per year. We stayed in multiple hotels, but this one is the best so far. We had beautiful panoramic view to city from our window. Really suggest to stay here.
Location close to the Castle, nice view from the triple room. Very clean.Uphill from the parking does not make it easy to access with kids and luggage. However this is not fault of the hotel.
Very nice boutique hotel within walking distance to the town. Has parking facilities and was very clean. breakfast was incredible. Personnel was very attentive
