This is not a destination property. This is a spot close to the airport. Period. It does the simple job of providing a bed, a bathroom and a roof over them. That’s it.

Good little clean hotel. The A/C in the room didn't work when we checked in. They gave another room immediately. Good breakfast. Secure parking. Overall, good value for money.

The small hiking trail around the hotel was very nice. Really beautifully laid out. The hot springs, bubbling mud and hot steam were also impressive. It makes you realize that you are very close to the volcano or gives you the feeling of being on the volcano. The complex and the little houses are very beautiful and well maintained. Yes it's a really nice hotel with a great pool and spa facility.

buena vista, comida rica a un excelente precio. la langosta de lujo.
There is no reason to go to Liberia. It’s a transit point: to lovely beaches to the west; mountains and jungle to the east; and the Nica border to the north. That being said, the Chinese restaurant & the Indian restaurant (Masala) in the center of town were both very tasty! The international airport, which is close by brings in tourists traveling in the north of Costa Rica.

The streets are not marked so you can have a hell of a time finding your hotel if it is relatively small or unknown. It is close to a market where you can have breakfast. it is convenient to the airport.

We had to go all the way downtown for a bank machine.
We had to go all the way downtown for a bank machine. Information, such as bus scheduling was non existant at the station. You had to find someone who was familiar with the buses. There's not a lot of reason to stay in Liberia. It's more of a "stop off" due to the airport. Most eating places are downtown. There's not a great selection outside the core. Liberia is not a tourist friendly city.

Liberia is a good place to start traveling around Guanacaste...
Liberia is a good place to start traveling around Guanacaste and the Pacific northwest of Costa Rica..A good place to arrive as the airport is not as busy as San Jose. There are stores, including a large Walmart where you can get supplies. But I would not stay in the city except for 1 night when flying.

Liberia isn't a tourist town.
Liberia isn't a tourist town. It does allow you to see real Costa Rican life - which is the best part of travel. We walked all over town and always felt safe. It is also better to stay here than further north because you can catch tours that pick up travelers in Liberia.

I really enjoy Liberia.
I really enjoy Liberia. The downtown area by the park has lots of shopping. I went into a pharmacy and they had a free dr. who quickly diagnosed my problem and prescribed a medication that worked very well. There is a family run laundry with a half day turnaround. I really enjoyed a restaurant where the ceasar salad was made in front of you. It is two blocks from the main intersection on the right hand side of the road.
What would be very useful is a map of the city. We asked locals for directions and they were very helpful in directing us to what we needed.
We were met at the airport by the owner and his son. He was waiting outside when we left the terminal (Liberia). The hotel is about a 15 minute drive from the airport.
Our room, though small was clean and comfortable. The A/C and wifi were both good.
This hotel is wonderful - a little outside the downtown area but walkable.
Breakfast was great. We had our rental car delivered right to the location.
Our thanks to Emmanuel and his family for making us feel comfortable on our first stay in Costa Rica.
The home is located in a nice residential area of Liberia. It is clean, spacious and the rooms have AC! Melvin is a friendly host. The location is in close proximity to the airport. A small grocery store is a five minute walk, a bus stop ten minutes, Walmart fifteen and the city centre twenty five minutes. I would definitely stay again if I go to Liberia.
we chose this hotel because it was close to the airport. It was stated that they had a restaurant. So we thought we could arrive there eat dinner have breakfast the next morning and have a quick Uber to the airport to catch our flight. There was no restaurant. And we were farther away from Liberia. So it was not convenient to go back into town.
Perfect location for the airport. Hotel was a lot nicer than expected, with a really lovely pool area. You can dine by the pool and food was good. Regular shuttle buses to the airport for when you depart. If you have been travelling around Costa Rica on a budget - treat yourself to a spot of comfort before you leave :-)
Very friendly owners. Made my friend and I feel very welcome. They helped us with all our requests and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It was a few minute was to the supermarkets and 10min drive to the Liberia airport. There was no air conditioning but our room had two fans. Thanks
We only stayed at this hotel for 1 night before going to the airport in the morning so didn’t have a chance to see much. Beautiful pool area. Large room with balcony overlooking pool was nice. Secure parking. Close to the airport. Left early so didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast.
Secure area. Quiet. We needed to get to airport at 530 am. Hotel facilited transportation at reasonable price and nice man.. short walk to restaurants and there was an inroom fridge. So handy to make snacks for the long plane ride ahead.
The last two years travelling to Costa Rica via Liberia, I have had good experiences staying at this location. It is a central location upon arriving at the liberia airport to acquire all your orientation before further travel
the location is ideal, just near the airport but still such warm welcome to Costa Rica. beautiful grounds, garden views from the room. Enormous pool! You won’t feel like you’re in an “Airport” hotel!
The pool area got a decent amount of sunlight, could have done with a few more lounge chairs.
The location was close to the airport and the hotel staff helped to organise my taxi.
Staff members were friendly and helpful. Recommended an excellent restaurant! This is a great place to spend a night after arriving or before departing Liberia airport.
Lovely owner and staff that are very helpful. They even organized a nice trip to a beautiful river nearby Liberia. Stayed twice in the hostel and had good experiences.
