The staff are great, really kind. They greeted me by name on arrival and showed me the facilities. You can help yourself to tea/coffee in the lounge downstairs and you can book a time slot for the sauna which is clean and private. Room was cosy, clean and fine for what you need after a day hiking.

Despite the massive tourism and lots of hotels, the small town still has preserved its character. The fact that it is car free (except for taxies and farm vehicles) and only reached by train or some serious walking uphill adds to the charm. The surrounding view son Maennlichen, Jungfrau and down into the Lauterbrunnen valley are magificent. We had some great walks from here.

Very nice, walkable town. Breathtaking views everywhere you look! Ate at the hotel, and one other restaurant-the Eiger, which was very good. Farmers brought up the cows from down in the valley up to higher ground and went right past our hotel (Eidelweiss) one morning. What a treat!

Wengen is a carless town , accessible easily by train from Lauterbrunnen. The scenery is stunning. The small village has some nice shops and restaurants and is a good base for visiting the cable car trips up the nearby mountains.It is way to walk around the village everything is close by .

Wengen is heaven. I know a lot of people stay in Lauterbrunnen because it's all over Instagram, etc., but Wengen is the place to be if you want quiet, authentic Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen is overrun by tourists and too frenetic for what we were looking for. We loved Wengen so much we spent most of our three-day stay here instead of day-tripping to other nearby locations by train. The local hiking was amazing, and we walked instead of using the train down to Lauterbrunnen. Very invigorating!

Beautiful small town without cars clogging the road. Very easy to get around. It was a relaxing location that we used as a base for exploring the area. Went to Mira’s Steakhouse which was excellent and Ristorante Di Sina for Pizza. Avoid the train station in the early morning as it crowded as people are departing or coming in. This is also true for the Coop grocery store which is across from the train station.

The scenery alone makes the walk it takes to stroll along the hills of this town well worth it. Close to hiking trails, nature, and wildlife. While Wengen is a bit isolated, the train ride into the valley each day provides views that never get old. Wengen is still close enough to Interlaken where you will find trains heading in various directions for a day of exploration. A great base location for your trip, you will enjoy starting and ending your day in Wengen. (When booking your stay, consider exact location and be mindful that this is a mountain village with various slopes and inclines.)

The staff were all very friendly, patient, and nicely answered our inquiries, the hotel has a considerate pick-up service for check-in, and you can leave your luggage at the hotel after check-out and they can send your luggage to Wengen station
We lived in a room with a mountain view and the scenery was awesome, you also have a big balcony where you can enjoy the mini bar (tea and coffee) provided by the hotel
The breakfast is also nice, you have many fresh choices :)
Only a few hotels in the world make you feel like at home. This hotel is one of those places that we will not forget. Amazing staff, perfect location, excellent breakfast, awesome views, quite room…and a sauna for guests!! We also had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel and it was delicious. Congratulations to all the staff, they are like a family, super friendly and helpful. Our weekend in Wengen was fantastic.
Best stay in switzerland for my family!!! Such a great 2 bedroom apartment, it was fully fitted and even the kitchen came equipped with ccooking condiments, making it a breeze to make meals for just 3 nights. There was a balcony that overlooks the mountains where we were have meals at with a fantastic view!
Very friendly, nice and welcoming owners. We felt like we are staying with the family. The hotel has amazing views on the mountains it is located in a quiet part of Wengen, its simply beautiful. We loved it and will come back.
