The Hotel Albrici is steeped in history at every turn, and the owners are proud of the history. The main hotel has a couple of rooms where the original flooring, panelling etc has been maintained. The ceilings are fantastic. When busy, the hotel has other rooms just down the street. These are still in a historic building. The rooms are very comfortable. And everything is central.

The location of the hotel is fabulous. The scenery is something else, with snow capped mountains all around and a lake just over the road.
The hotel was comfortable and the food was delicious.
Bike hire was a huge bonus.

The borge (town centre) is very beautiful (and quiet, as it is almost car-free). Many interesting sights, small workshops, museums, cultural and architectural things to see and explore. Friendly people.
Once you have seen it all, start exploring the whole of the valley that offers everything from the Bernina Hospizio down to Tirano in Valtalina vallley. There is something for everybody for every season, be it mountain-biking or discussing local literature experiences and tasting the regional bio-food surprises.....

Lots of interesting architecture, pretty villas and palazzos. Museums not open in the winter which is a shame. Great to use as stop-over on the Bernina train line. Lovely surroundings and not overly touristy. Some very nice looking restaurants although not a lot was open in February.

Poschiavo in February was quiet and beautiful.
Poschiavo in February was quiet and beautiful. Coming in and out on the train with a view of the lake and the whole valley was an incredible experience. It was lovely to stroll through the town at night and in the sun and get a true feel for the culture in the region in the midst of incredible natural beauty. The lamb in the Restaurant of the Hotel Centrale was excellent!

It is a truly great place to visit. Driving through the mountains to get there or taking the train, it doesn't matter, you will have a great experience. Food is great, location is beautiful and the people are very nice.

Very quaint village. Would like to have more restaurants with gluten free options. Was very limited. Made it tough for someone who has an allergy. Hotel Albrici is a wonderful place to stay for a short visit. The Apt we stayed in was great. Convenient for hiking. Hotel had a train and bus card that saved a lot of money.
Very charming! Both the hotel and the dependence are beautifully-restored historic buildings in the center of the village. We stayed in the dependance, which is around the corner (next to the Hotel Suisse). The room was large and impeccably clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was and modern. There are common spaces on the second and third floor, which would come in handy for an extended stay (sort of like a lobby area). Breakfast was wonderful! We also had dinner in the hotel which was very good.
Location excellent - a short 5-10 min level walk from the train and a few steps from main square, but in a quiet side street. No noise at all. Spacious and clean. Washing machine for clothes available. Wi-Fi very strong. Always fast response from host to any question. For food, large supermaket (Co-op) is next door to the station, open mon, tue, thu, fri, sat. We found it so much better to stay in this apartment than in a hotel. Tourist information at the station has maps and is very helpful.
Enchanting property, restored in recent years with exquisite taste, maniacal precision, and philological attention to the territory and the past of the house. Superior hotel in everything, from the common sections of the villa to the delightful bungalows; from the garden to the restaurant; from graphics on the walls to cleaning. Impeccable staff. The legendary Rhätische Bahn stops right at the door and takes you upstream or downstream in an instant. Who could ask for more?

The hotel is a lovely mix of old and new, located just a short walk from the train stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke more than enough English for us to get by. When we arrived we were advised to book dinner in the restaurant and weren't disappointed. We had a great meal and were looked after by a very friendly and helpful waitress.
10/10 would stay here again when we come back to Switzerland.
Very nice hotel in lovely Poschiavo. Staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating, clean and comfy rooms, excellent restaurant with a very enjoyable and green garden terrace in summer, serving local delicious products for breakfast and dinner. Free parking was very useful and always available.
We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Val Poschiavo.
Really fabulous apartment with a great kitchen and huge public space and private bedroom. The second bed is a fold-down model (twin size) which was pretty comfy. The host was very helpful and helped us find parking in the area (though could have been more clear how to find parking to start with). A nice 1km walk from the main station in Poschiavo along side roads.
Breakfast is very sumptious and hotel staff service were great. Location is great too and i did not hear any noise.
Their restaurant which is in the opposite street is fantastic for the dinner. Very delicious food.
I do wish to have a bigger bathroom as shower cube is so tiny and insufficiently light in the bathroom.

Charming historical building, wonderfully preserved in the heart of Poschiavo valley. If you want to experience history and spirit of Alpine passes and routes, this is the place to be.
We were here for a car event so for us it was a perfect location. A beautiful little square with restaurants of fantastic quality.
