Staff, location, bed & price were all excellent. Check in and information was faultless. We needed accommodation for one night quickly. Which we got here at a great price. Room is spacious. And it can with Ticino pass. However it was very very noisy to the outside

The ladies were so helpful and accommodating, they even waited after hours for us to check in as we were running late and having sim card problems. The room was cosy and spotlessly clean with a lovely view of the lake and mountains. Breakfast each morning was a banquet....such a wide choice of food and very yummy. There was just a short walk to the train station, the Lake and downtown for some shopping and sightseeing. We were very happy with our stay @ Home Hotel Locarno.

Very enjoyable.
Very enjoyable. Visconteo Castle was interesting and the funicular to Madonna del Sasso was fun. Good pizza at the Ristorante Funicolare. Be sure to take the tram further up to Cardada. The views were well worth the trip!

A small, yet beautiful city on the Swiss part of Lago Maggiore which, for those who are on a circuit, is a must-come-to in order to visit Sacro Monte Madonna del Sasso. A jewel with an amazing view over the city and the lake, accessible both by foot or by the funicular (lovely).

Main reason to go their was the Indian Ticino Ride, Close to the lakeside and in the middle of the city we could celebrate until Midnight. Time was to short to discover all the beauty in and around. We took some short rides with our motorbikes having best weather.
We will come again.

Awesome small town on the shore of Lago Maggiore. Clean, all buildings and streets are perfectly maintained. Very green, extremely picturesque - placed between Alps slopes and lake shores , with palms and lot of flowers growing around. Small but beautiful Old town, tasteful food. Just a small heaven on Earth, it still is expensive.

Locarno was fantastic but the funicular operator put me off. He refused to speak and just pointed to tickets and signs when asked questions. Nobody was there and his vibe was we we're putting him out.
The hotel is situated near the train station which is very convient. The room was spacious, with comfy bed, nice balcony and coffee-tea facilities. You have mini bar available for extra charge. Breakfast was very rich and tasty. Staff of the hotel should get extra credits for their work - Mr Norbert at the reception was extremly helpful, he explained where to go, provided additional information upon my questions - great hospitality and customer approach. I fully recommend to stay here.

Hotel City has a very convenient location: you can discover Locarno & surroundings on foot. The room was modern, with pleasant decoration and good A/C - heating, quiet as requested (overlooking a parking in the backyard). Slept very well! Breakfast was fine, no stress, with everything needed. Staff at breakfast & reception very nice and helpful, always smiling at the customer - which we appreciated. Highly recommended for a city break in Locarno.
Nice hotel at a good location. It has ample room for parking but know that you will have to drive through a very, very narrow alley on your way to it. It was a bit daunting at first but worked out well, and we have a fairly large car. The breakfast was great, it's served a la carte (you make notes on a sheet of paper what you want to order) and the friendly staff brings it to you.
We only stayed one night. We visited for the Camelie festival. The room was clean and cozy and included everything we needed. Breakfast was served directly in the room. Parking is available with reservation just in front of the house. The walk to Locarno was not long and nice. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Grazie mille Eduardo.
Great location and price - right in the centre of the piazza. Very basic hotel room but had practically everything you could need. I was sceptical as I saw some other reviews saying there were shared bathrooms but that was not the case for me at all - my room had its own private bathroom as expected. Great view of the piazza and spacious room.

The hotel also gave us a Ticino Ticket which allows free travel on all buses and trains in Ticino : we used it a lot and makes travelling in the region very easy
The staff was absolutely lovely and extraordinarily accomodating. The location is amazing as it is right in the center of Locarno at the Piazza Grande. It is a brand new hotel with beautiful and perfectly clean rooms. We were sad to leave the hotel after only one night, but we will be back for sure.
The location was very convenient, the hotel has air conditioning, the beds were comfortable, very modern with a nice spacious shower and it had several USB outlets for convenience and the WiFi worked well. The staff is also very helpful and polite.
