Very nice hotel, close to the city center and with an amazing view on the lake. My room was newly refurbished, it was very nice and clean. Communication with staff was smooth and they were also very helpful. Hotel has an amazing rooftop terrasse with a great view on the lake and mountains, unfortunately the weather was nice only the last day of my stay so I could not enjoy it so much, but it is one other reason to visit again. Highly recommended

Excellent location (just a short walk down the hill from the train station), wonderful staff, delicious breakfast! We enjoyed our stay very much! The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of food to chose from during breakfast and we received answers to all the questions we had. The hotel has its own history which we found very interesting to see in all the pictures that were up on the walls.

Utterly charming staff, location and overall ambience
The hotel is managed by a nice and funny couple. The place has a lot of cachet and is very personal to the owners/managers. The owner is cooking himself and I can only recommend to eat at the Pensione Agra, which serves ticinese (local) food. The place is located in a very calm village, almost at the end of the main road - it's very calm. The most pleasant part was the amazing sunrise that you can admire, with the scenic view enhanced by the small chapel located next to the hotel.
The hostess was amazing. She's running a hotel and serving all the guests in the small restaurant. She was extremely polite and gracious in helping us understand a menu written in Italian and German. The food was amazing. Breakfast and dinner were quite nice. Accommodations were pretty standard, 3 small beds and a shared bath. Property is in a cute village with very easy access to Lugano and all it has to offer. We would definitely stay again and look forward to it.
A wonderful place in an outstanding location. We had one of the hotel-type rooms, with a balcony overlooking mountainous scenery, in a very quiet village in Swiss Ticino, just a short drive to Lugano and a short walk to other hilltop villages. The hosts were extraordinarily helpful and pleasant. Their restaurant (and breakfast) everything one could wish for in a simple, local trattoria.
The Hotel is conveniently located 10 minutes away from the city centre and enjoys beautiful views on lake Lugano. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are a good complement. The fitness is extremely well equipped and the SPA area is modern, sparkling clean. We recommend to try the outstanding therapists and the Spa. We loved this hotel and we look forward to coming back soon.
Pensione Agra was tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Lugano in a nice quiet community in the surrounding mountains. It was charming, and the hosts were lovely. The pillows and blankets were soft and cozy, making for a great night’s rest. The bathrooms were clean with hot water and good water pressure. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!
A beautiful experience, end-to-end. We particularly enjoyed the indoor pool & sauna area. The restaurant serves excellent food. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Can't wait to visit in the summer and enjoy the outdoor pool/facilities as well. Also, delightful walking paths starting right at the hotel. Don't miss the local Grottos!
Our experience at Swiss Hotel Apartments was extraordinary. The staff was very attentive, the apartment overlooking the lake is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.

The pension is located in Agra which is a beautiful place. There is a bus station right in front of the pension to go to Lugano. And the pension was clean. The owner is ironing all the sheets with a special ironing machine.
What i like is the staff, they took care of us good. Specially they let us use the hotel Car for important reason. I don’t know the name the lady on the reception i can’t thank enough for your politeness and hospitality.
