The location is excellent and is in a quiet location. Just a short, 5-minute walk to the town area. I was driving a rental car, so the free private parking was great.

It's very easy to walk to convenient stores, restaurants, and tour agencies. There is a common living area where you can get drinking water, use the refrigerator. It feels safe and easy to navigate around this area. The bedroom is slightly on the small side but the bathroom is very spacious. There is no daily housekeeping unless you request for it. Get the number of the owner so you can message them if there is any problem. We stayed three nights and it was a good experience.

It’s a mountainous area and remind me of my country, Haiti. We went to the downtown market, not much for tourists. Also, they don’t speak much English over there compared to other cities but it’s a cool place.

San Ignacio has enough for one to two days of activities for a typical tourist. The Mayan Temple complexes are the main attraction (the one in San Ignacio is easy to reach but less interesting than the others a bit further away). The Iguana conservation project and chocolate making demonstration are worthwhile if you have time. The drive from the airport is not scenic, but it's simple to navigate.

This is a great town in the heart of the Cayo (Belize). Touted as a "backpackers destination" I consider this a must-visit for those visiting Belize as the residents are friendly and really give a taste for what parts of Belizian culture can be like.

San Ignacio was a great location to explore the jungle and many different sites. The ATM (cave site) and several Mayan ruins are nearby and we even went into Guatemala for a day trip to see TiKal which is one of the largest Mayan ruins.

    The local people are friendly.

The local people are friendly. There are a variety of restaurants and several tours available to see things of interest around the area. It is an easy transfer into Guatemala. You can walk most anywhere you need to go. We had breakfasts at a small cafe close to where we stayed. We had lunch and beers at one of the local taverns. Dinner was at a place across from the tavern one night and at a place on the square the next. I highly recommend Maya Tours. They have a big local market on Saturdays.

    - San Ignacio is almost a shanty town with little charm.

    - San Ignacio is almost a shanty town with little charm. It itself has little to offer historically. The streets are disorganized, dining is ordinary and priced for tourists - Rain can significantly hinder your adventures. Even after the rains, for three days, we were unable to reach a Mayan temple attraction because the river crossing was perilous. - But it is a base for fascinating tours of the area - the Mayan ruins (including one within the town); the caves, the jungle habitat. - It's easy to drive to from Belize City.

Good value for money. Wonderful huge garden (you can see iguanas and even toucans) and chill area with hammocks. Close to the market and near the bus stops for tourist shuttles from Guatemala to Caye Caulker. Part of San Ignacio lies on a hill so if your guest house is in that part you need to walk up a steep hill to get “home”. There’s no hill between Mana Kai and the center, so easy to walk even when it’s hot.

The rooms are very big with a good bed, lots of light, spacious bathroom and you have your own patio with a hammok :) Also the garden of the hotel is very nice and the big swimmingpool is a big plus. Eventhough you are not in the center of San Ignacio, you can reach anything with a few minuts of walking. Staff was also very friendly and helpfull.

Was very pleased with my stay here, I was expecting so much less. The staff were so helpful, especially Jessie. Best hostel breakfast I have had for a very long time. Only a few yards from the bus stop for bus to Belize City and onwards. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending YBB.

Clean, spacious room, 5 minute walk from the centre. Really helpful staff, who organised an excellent tour to ATM (cheaper than other operators). Great breakfast with toast, spreads, fruit, orange juice & coffee. Free water. Microwave available in the hallway, with the breakfast.

Great views, wonderful stuff and lovely restaurant to grab a drink or bit at (pricier than in the city - and bad music, but the view makes up for it). We also booked the ATM cave tour via them, which was really amazing. Well-organized, great food and the best tour guide!
