We stayed during the Mother's Day weekend and it poured with rain the entire weekend but there was so much activities on that kept the kids busy and made our stay worth it despite the bad weather. Cabin was great and clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and even posted items accidentally left behind.

Just a short 1 night stay to attend a show at nearby Avoca Beach. Very clean, very comfortable bed, good a/c heater and tv, good shower. Basic but very clean and comfortable, quality bed and very reasonably priced. Host Katherine was absent but made the effort to phone and welcome us.

Ocean beach is great for families with young children.
Ocean beach is great for families with young children. The are life guards in the patrolled area near the Surf Club. The beach is safe for kids because the sand gently slopes to the water. Playgrounds are in the area behind the beach are especially good for young children. Places to sit and enjoy a coffee from the Cafe while you watch your children play.
The property is small, but self-contained with everything provided eg. good supply of kitchen utensils and plates/bowls etc., good washing machine and drier, linen, towels, pillows, iron, umbrellas, games, books. It is clean and neat with everything working. It only has a front entrance with a rolladoor with a fob key to open so no back entry or entry or gate. Only 5 minutes walk to Umina beach.
Location was perfect for driving access to surrounding areas including Umina, the dog beach at Ocean Beach and Patonga. The main shops were also within 3-5 minutes drive of the property. Inside the property, the cleanliness was fantastic, the beds extremely comfy and all facilities easy to use. It's a great space for chilling. The back garden has a large table in case you are entertaining.
The location is superb - an easy short walk to the beach and surf club. Easy walking distance to Umina shops and cafes. You don’t really need a car to stay here. The house is well equipped and very clean. Lots of natural light in every room and modern ceiling fans and aircon make it comfortable even on very hot days.
