Murwillumbah Motor Inn, hotel in Tyalgum

Murwillumbah Motor Inn (formerly Econo Lodge) is located a short walk to the CBD which offers an array of wonderful cafes, shops and restaurants.

From my room, a wonderful view of Mt Warning. Originally a 60's or 70's motel, there have been recent renovations. The main part of the room was large with an entrance from the rear and a door onto a shared verandah at the front.

Binna Burra Sky Lodges, hotel in Tyalgum

Located within Lamington National Park, Binna Burra Sky Lodges offers accommodation in the heart of the rainforest. The lodge features a cafe.

Sky Lodge unit with fantastic views from where one can enjoy the changing views - sunsets. mists swirling on tree tops, mountains and valley whilst listening to the chorus of birdsong. Also loved having microwave, cook top and BBQ to fix meals. Superb large bathroom - entire unit very tastefully furnished- loved the slate all around! Highly recommend the Coomera Circuit walk (17.8 km) walk to explore numerous stunning waterfalls ( I lost count!)

The property is out in the country and is super quiet, the facilities are great and nice hot showers, we were lucky and had dinner and breakfast there. The food was very good and couldn’t ask for more. We used the fire pit and watched the great view In the sky, that’s hard for see form the city.

Silk Pavilions Glamping, hotel in Tyalgum

Silk Pavilions Glamping is situated in the heart of Tweed Valley, nestled amongst native bush, lakes and rainforest. Guests can enjoy beautiful views from their private deck.

Everything really. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly, and have thought of every small detail. The tent itself is incredible. Very spacious, with all amenities you need. Shower, bathtub, basin and toilet all indoors! A BBQ on the patio outside, minifridge stocked with all you need, and if anything runs out, the hosts are happy to restock! While there is no mobile service on site, wifi via Starlink satellite is available and is faster than most services in the city... Amenities aside, the location is serene and peaceful, and is conducive to a relaxing stay away from the day-to-day. Loved this place!

Tyalgum is a lovely spot for a weekend getaway in the country. The food and atmosphere at Flutterbies Cottage Cafe was excellent. There is a great yoga class in the Community Hall on Saturday morning so this was a nice way to start the weekend. There was also a great masseur next to the General Store. It was easy to explore on foot.

Much nicer and well kept town buildings, shops & cafes, streetscape and heritage than we expected. Even housing, except one, was neat and looked after. Poor road access to Tyalgum. Tweed Shire need to get on with fixing it!

Good location and good room. Noise was a big issue. Our family room adjoined the common area where there was a loud group drinking until after 11pm on the Friday night. The room was also above the bar, which was playing loud music until after 10pm on the Saturday night.

I loved Tylagum - felt immediately at home with the people I met. Celestial Dew is gorgeous - a beautiful old house with lots of wood, historical features but everything works perfectly - taps, switches etc. The sauna and outdoor spa are fantastic. Cafe next door has excellent food. Not open for dinner though. We had dinner at the pub down the road one night - very nice and good service. This is a lovely town with connected, creative people. If you're looking for a swanky place with everything at your fingertips this is not it. If you are seeking to explore a unique little town full of lovely people and want to reconnect with yourself and nature, this is it.

Loved the village atmosphere, the laneway and market like area with shops ( displaced after a fire), but great community feel. Good location to do day trips to other locations such as Cabarita Beach, Murwullumbah and Mt Warning.
