We loved our short stay at Benji’s. Fabulous location and views. We relaxed with a drink on the deck watching the super moon rise at dusk. In the morning we enjoyed coffee while watching the Whales spout out in the distance - an unexpected bonus!

I would suggest having breakfast/lunch out but dinners in your accommodation (as they were well overpriced for the quality).
The local gelato shop was awesome!
Beaches are picturesque!
Trial Bay Gaol is closed for maintenance until October 2024.

South West Rocks is a great spot for kids and adults alike. We love the different beach options - Trial Bay is excellent for younger kids. There are always lots of things to do with the grandkids. Sometimes the food outlets get very busy and are not always open when needed.

South West Rocks is a lovely town.
South West Rocks is a lovely town. Salt is about 5-10 minutes from the beach and offers utter serenity. If you like fishing, rivers, beach, countryside and kangaroos - this is the place for you! Could not have been more charmed.
One thing to note, it is a very popular spot and as a small town things close early (like 8pm) so make sure you arrive in time to find a spot to have dinner. Also it was very hot with lots of mossies as you’d expect so don’t forget bug spray.

The beaches are beautiful and accessible.
The beaches are beautiful and accessible. There is shade and some seating in a park overlooking Horseshoe Beach with a kiosk and toilet facilities. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of locals and visitors. Trial Bay Gaol is definitely worth a visit.

We had an excellent stay and learned to love South West Rocks. We wish we could've stayed longer!
The room was equipped with everything we needed and the bar downstairs serves lunch and dinner - very convenient. Other food places are very close as well.
The beach can be reached by foot in just a few minutes.
Don't forget to check out the tourist information with the little museum, a very lovely volunteer helped us there and shared lots of useful info.
A really comfy stay. The bed was so comfy (which was required and appreciated after running a half marathon) and the aircon and heating worked really well. It was great to sit out in the sun in the courtyard for lunch. A close walk to shops and restaurants. It was quite busy in South West Rocks, being a long weekend - didn't hear any road noise at all. Thoroughly recommended and will be back!
