Beautifully renovated, loved the bathtub and the muscat nightcaps!
The big attraction is wine tasting. However, the number of places for dinner has increased and the quality is really good, so it's definitely a place where you can enjoy dining out too, whether in town or at a cellar door.

Wonderful town full of friendly locals, great cafes with good coffee and few hotels, restaurants for delicious meals. Not hard to find a place to get a good wine with plenty of options. Plenty accommodation of different types to decide and all close to town. Well worth a stay and explore.

A beautiful place with very friendly people and a lovely quiet atmosphere. We were there for a wedding at the Debortoli Winery and it was truly beautiful. Highly recommended if you want a quiet little getaway for a few days.

This is the most friendly place in the whole of Australia!
This is the most friendly place in the whole of Australia! Everyone we came in contact with was so helpful and accommodating. We did not experience one unpleasant person during the time of our visit. Kirk at the Information Centre set the bar high and made us feel very welcome.
A number of vineyards are dog friendly so that makes travelling with pets so much easier. There are also a number of excellent restaurants and cafes that have an outdoor area where it is possible to sit with your pet and enjoy an excellent meal. There are so many wineries to visit you will need to plan a further trip.

I truly just loved how lovely decorated it was and so very very clean. That is a super big bonus for me . There was plenty of room for the two of us . It’s always a bonus when there is a covered outside area to sit out in the fresh air. There was a bench to sit on or a table with two chairs outside. It is not a place to do any cooking . Only a microwave . No sink for washing up. Dirty dishes get put into a container with lids. I would assume once you run out of stuff , the host would wash and replace. We were there for two night and we had plenty of plates, cutlery and cups etc.
The property is a stylish modern unit with a touch of old world with some classic furniture.
Provisions as a bed and breakfast were very well stocked with a range of food items located in a separate dining room
. A comfortable bed and ensuite were much appreciated. The location of the property is in a quiet court surrounded by modern homes approx 1 km from the Rutherglen shopping precinct. Off street parking as well. I enjoy my overnight stay at James Court Suite.
The room was spacious and very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable. All the appointments in the room were of a high standard. Even the bath towels were large and fluffy! Also the internet was good -
The location was perfect - at the rear of the Main Street with a short walk down a lane to the best coffee shop and bakery in Rutherglen. My wife and I travel a lot for work and we are fussy but we couldn’t fault this place.
Dawn had thought of everything one could want or need at this home-away-from-home. it was amongst the best places we’ve stayed at. The beautiful succulent garden was just the icing on the cake. we will definitely detour through Rutherglen again.
