Money for value, yes, the bathroom was dated but clean. Mattress was comfortable. Simple facilities, but that's all you need.

The waterfront needs a bit of a facelift & they are seriously in need of street signs. I drove around in circles because I couldn’t find the street I wanted. I ate at the restaurant attached to the Travelway Motel & it was excellent.

The museum is a hidden gem, from the outside it did not look like much and the $10 admission almost put us off. However once inside we wandered for over 90 minutes and could have stayed longer.
The Risdon hotel is great for meals and the one 2 four cafe is terrific for breakfast.

Port Pirie is a city in SA that requires a visit to take in the history of our early settlers.
We had a great meal at the Black Pig we would definitely recommend. Don’t miss a tour through the Museum, a quaint building loaded with memorabilia. Driving around Port Pirie is easy on their huge broad streets. The Central Hotel was a great venue to enjoy Adelaide Cup Day.

Town isn’t that exciting really.
Town isn’t that exciting really.
But there’s a great little pizza place called A1. Friendly staff and great pizza.
And if you want a pub meal that well and truely fills your plate, but is way less than average go the the Risdon Hotel. And the staff on the floor cared about as much as the staff in the kitchen.
The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. It is honestly the best value for money hotel I’ve stayed in. Very affordable, and very comfortable and enjoyable. There is a large shared kitchen for guests and a nice outdoor bbq area with plenty of seating. We have stayed in 3 of their rooms, and they are all very clean and all of the beds are very comfy
Clean and comfortable, Continental breakfast was nice but no option to order a hot breakfast. Barista coffee was offered for a fee. The complimentary drink voucher left in my room was a nice touch. I also appreciated that the hotel made arrangements for a late check-in and contacted me to advise of arrangements as I ended up arriving later than expected.
