Situated in Palm Beach, just 1km from the beach and Pittwater, Palm Beach this traditional Bed & Breakfast boasts rooms with balconies, water views and en suite bathrooms.

Everything: beautiful house, comfortable beds and shower, excellent location, beautiful garden. Our favourite feature was bird feeding at breakfast. Cockatoos, lorikeets, kookaburras all come to the veranda for a snack.

YHA Pittwater Eco, Sydney, hotel in Patonga

YHA Pittwater Eco Sydney is only accessible via water taxi or ferry only, followed by an uphill walk.

I had the best time staying here over the long weekend. The hostel is nicely set up with a large kitchen, games room, deck overlooking the bay, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows at night. It was so tranquil waking up to birdsong in the morning and spotting wallabies in the field. The coffee and kayak rental was excellent as well. Hoping to revisit in the warmer months!

We were only there for 1 night at the end of May (ie winter) to attend an event, so location didn't matter to us, but in summer it would be an awesome beach holiday location. Close to beach, which itself was gorgeous. Upstairs was fantastic- roomy, comfortable, clean, very well fitted out and equipped, super balcony and back yard. Bedrooms were big, beds comfy, good lighting, pillows etc. Good sized bathroom- very clean and well appointed. Shower water pressure was very very low though and not much water came out and it was not that hot - not great on a very cold morning, but we did see water restriction signs in the area. Aircon/heating in lounge/kitchen area was very effective, and this was a nice big comfy space. Rest of house was freezing though- it was only 10C overnight and heating supplied was inadequate - every room just had a tiny desktop-size fan heater. But, it's meant to be a summer vacation place and we were there at the start of winter so ... and it was unseasonably cold. We were only 3 so we didn't use downstairs- it opened directly off garage, was very small but had good beds, kitchen, bathroom. Was quite dark even at noon. Tiny lounge space. Also very very cold. Overall a fantastic summer spot for a large group.

    Loverly beach and inlet area.

Loverly beach and inlet area. Local pub good for drinks and we had a nice dinner. Breakfast menu looked good - however we zipped over to Pear Beach for breakfast. We were able to walk around the area quite happily. No Vodafone coverage - apparently also no Optus. Telstra OK though. The place we stayed had Wifi enabling us to have Wifi dialling etc. I guess the pub does to - however we enjoyed being off line a bit. Wharf has seating for ferry stop along with a few Albatros! It was a nice place to sit and take in the view. My photos are from early morning - we were out for sunrise - hence the odd lighting :)
