Something a bit different from the norm. Loved all the information hanging around with details of history of the goal. Loved all the different sections etc. Roomy was smallish but very comfy and nice and warm despite it being quite cold outside.

Quiet room/location; not disturbed by any hotel or outside noise. Self-serve kitchen with complimentary food was a bonus! Useful desk space for daytime work between appointments.

Larger country town with great facilities and many sightseeing options. Close to one Australia's great wine regions. Many accommodation choices available to suit all budgets. And of course it has the Blue Lake.

Such a pretty town with so many lovely houses and building. Lovely history to the place. Great vibe in the town centre with cafes and pubs and community. Lots to see and do with all the sinkholes, lakes and proximity to Coonawarra and Port MacDonell beaches

For a big town it lacked a choice of restaurants, we arrived quite late as travelling and nothing was open in town. Actually felt like a ghost town.
Good place to stop if travelling ocean road but only need one night there!
The Barns where we stayed had a good restaurant that was still open but is 20 min drive from town centre.

Beautiful historic town with famous landmarks, such as the volcanic crater lake (Blue Lake) and the Umpherston Sinkhole and sunken gardens. Very walkable town with lots of boutique shops, restaurants and coffee houses.

Much to see and do within a 100km radius of the city.
Much to see and do within a 100km radius of the city. It is a pity the the Princess Margaret Rose Cave is currently shut and there is no indication about a reopening date. The expected date (End of 2023) is now history. Direction signs should carry this information. Naracoorte Caves excellent. Get directions to "Hells Hole" and go for a short walk, Be amazed! Visitor centre is very helpful. If you are reasonably fit climb Mt Schank and walk the rim of an dormant volcano.

Despite the amazing natural attractions (especially the Blue Lake which is resplendent at this time of year), Mount Gambier seems to be revelling in past glories and much of the tourist infrastructure appears dated and run-down. Even the 'attractions' sign as you drive into town is peeling and faded...
Great 3* hotel - tasteful renovations in the room. If you want the full renovated experience, book other rooms than a queen (we got #101). It is quiet, the bed area is beautifully redesigned (very good mattress, too), but the rest of the room, albeit clean and functional, appears to be from a different style. - Central location (2.5km from Blue Lake) and parking out back are further pluses.
On arrival the reception area looked like it had been done up and was like walking into a 5 star hotel. When I got to the room, it was old and dated. Could definitely do with a freshen up. The hot water in the shower was great and good flow. Bed and pillows were very comfy. comfortable couch. There is an indoor pool but it isnt heated and is in a ramshackle shed building.
The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with all amenities you’d expect from a quality hotel. Great mini bar options, room service and cafetière coffee in the room was a lovely touch. Bathroom very modern and beautifully decorated. Smart TV with various streaming platforms. Food from the restaurant was great, great central location also. Loved the room!!
The motel and its location were marvellous. Only 2 minutes walking to Coles, Foodland, and Kmart. The rooms are immaculate. The owner, Andrew, is beneficial and friendly. Also, the manager has incredibly patient and helpful. Overall, their services are excellent. I recommend you to stay at this motel when you visit Mount Gambier.
Comfortable room in this motel style hotel. Good restaurant, which was fortunate as there were no other restaurants in the immediate area, without having to use the car. Restaurant was busy the evening we were there, with 2 large groups, but service was good, and food excellent.
1. This motel has best location. All tourist spots are nearby.
2. You can Park your car in front of your room and take your luggage easily.
3. Found bed, tables, cupboards, cutlery and other stuff good.
We stayed two nights and it was a comfortable place to be. Parking was easy and right by the door. Pretty quiet too, even though the motel is right on a main road. Our unit was at the rear.
Very clean, had everything we needed for an overnight visit. Great location to town.
Enjoyed the connection to the hotel bistro, lovely dinner and welcoming atmosphere.
Handy to things. Booked the wrong motel as we thought we had booked Mount Gambier Gaol!!! Had stayed here before so knew the property. Parking good. Nice big rooms
