It was obvious the owners took pride in the motel. Little touches like the digital clock being away from a location which would shine in your eyes during the night or finding a bucket with a window wiper for the cars outside the room.

Maryborough has two beautiful parks with lakes, lots of bird life including swans and ducks. there are plenty of playgrounds, and an excellent swimming pool complex including a section for babies and toddlers. Great assortment of shops and eating places, we enjoyed very good fish and chips and yummy Chinese food.

We had the best view of Maryborough, the corner suite was just magnificent. The ambience of the room was just beautiful. The decor in the room was of high quality and the very large spa in the very spacious bathroom was of a very high standard. The Super King size bed was so soft and comfortable and just a place to dream on. All the fittings and fixtures were done to remind quest's of a bygone era. All the amentities in the room were of a very high standard. The lift was fantastic and running so smoothly, a secret surprise. We enjoyed our stay very much so, we will surely stay again. Thank you to all the staff and their attention to detail. It made our stay very pleasant. Also the off street parking was an added bonus. Loved it, wished that I could have spent a week instead of a weekend. Thank you what a wonderful stay.

We went to Maryborough solely for a funeral. Town is quite tired. Easy to find our way around. We had an excellent breakfast at The Station - the biggest “big breakfast” we’ve ever had! Great value. But the hot chocolate was so weak I couldn’t taste the chocolate!

Check out collectible toy shop...in fact check out all the shops new & old ware & op shops. We had dinner at Park House Hotel...opposite Princes Park. No frills, good inexpensive food. Princes Park interesting place to wander too.

So much history of the gold rush here, the building are astounding, and the other areas near by are worth travelling too.
Check out the Bull & Mouth Hotel, treat yourself to a meal there, you will be delighted.
Our host was so helpful! She prepared our room beautifully at short notice as we had to make an unscheduled stop in Maryborough. The beds were really comfortable, with lovely sheets and beautiful towels. The room was spotlessly clean and light, with a small and modern ensuite bathroom. It's walking distance to the swimming lake which is great in summer after a hot drive. And across the road is a beautiful plant nursery and gift shop. We had a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend it to others.
Well equipped with everything you needed. All good quality furnishings tastefully done. Comfy bed with electric blanket, and lounge chairs for relaxing. Plenty of continental breakfast supplies. Good size bathroom. Very quiet location at the rear of the house with private entrance. Easy walking distance to eateries, shops and hotels. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend the place to friends.
I could not fault this property. Without a doubt, the best place we've stayed at in Maryborough and we visit often. We'll only stay here from now on.
The home is so well appointed and the shower is to die for.
The little touches make a difference, such as marshmallows for your hot chocolate and juice in the fridge.
We were in going to be coming in late so they left the key in the key box for us and told us that if we needed anything to ring the bell.
The lights and heater were on, which made it nice for us.
If we come back to Maryborough, we will definitely stay at the Highlander Haven Motel again.
Beautiful home with Art Deco features, with a modern renovation. Every possible comfort provided. Felt like home with the coffee machine, fire, comfortable beds and beautifully appointed bathrooms and kitchen. I suspect the owners have worked in a five star hotel?
I was very happy with the room,it was very clean and well presented, the king single bed was also very comforable.
Staff and food were excellent, friendly and great service I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Maryborough.
breakfast was in the room as cafe not open on a Monday.
very pleasant.
Staff just wonderful caring and helpful nothing was any trouble.
will revisit this beautiful Hotel and enjoy more of what it can offer.
I'd never visited Maryborough properly, and after this experience I'll definitely be back. A grand old hotel that has truly been restored to its glory. The owners and citizens of the town should be proud.
