Kiama Shores, hotel in Kiama

Featuring an outdoor saltwater swimming pool, Kiama Shores offers air-conditioned accommodation in the heart of Kiama. Free parking is provided.

We were travelling from Newcastle and Hunter Valkey with 2 other couples . We requested early access to our rooms or a room. We were told we would not know until we arrived. This did cause some anxiety. So we dressed very early in the morning and traveled in our good wedding clothes (4hrs). On arrival we were given early access. Which was terrific however it would have been better to find out the day before. All was fantastic other than that.

Beachside Budget Rooms, hotel in Kiama

Beachside Budget Rooms is set in Kiama, 300 metres from Kiama Surf Beach, and features a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar.

Whatever you do, DON'T STAY HERE. It is not up to standard for any sort of star rating. The smell of human faeces lingered in the air just outside our room and it was impossible to breathe at times. If it wasn't raining and about 7 degrees Celsius outside we would have slept in our car. The amount of LIGHT that pours into this room makes it impossible to even get to sleep. The carpets were so dirty, we couldn't walk around barefoot. There were mice running around everywhere and 2 alcoholics that just walked around all night outside our room too. This is a local Pub and I don't think I could even go in for a beer now. This experience has put me off for life. I absolutely LOVE old Pubs in Australia, but this one needs to be demolished quick smart. Unfortunately, because it has fallen into such a bad state of repair, it is futile to try and fix it up. Who cares if it's cheap. I wouldn't stay here again for FREE!

I don’t want to say too much about Kiama, then everyone will go there. Such a pretty town, with the best of both coastal and rural views & activities. A big variety of Great restaurants and cafes, with friendly service. Indoor and outdoor seating available at nearly all businesses. A huge variety of other stores as well, clothing, toys, books, pharmacies, supermarkets, post office, op shops, specialty boutiques, information bureau - the list is endless. All this, yet the small town feel, remains. 🥰

    Lovely beachside town.

Lovely beachside town. We went there over Easter, and would consider going back again for longer. Went to Jamberoo, and had an awesome time! Kids enjoyed it more than Wet n Wild on the Gold Coast. But that was mainly because it wasn't crowed at Easter, and the queues were much shorter, so kids had a lot more time actually going on the rides, than waiting in queues. Lovely coastline to explore. We also visited the Illawara Fly and did the Zipline tour. What a lot of fun! and beautiful views and forest.

    The hosts were so accommodating.

The hosts were so accommodating. The bed was comfortable, the studio was modern and clean including the bathroom and kitchen. The view from the deck was sensational. Walking distance to Kiama Coastal Walk. Good sized yard. The hosts were contactable and readily available for assistance. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Bernie and Joan for all your help! ;)

Kiama had a few beaches to go to.

Kiama had a few beaches to go to. There are a couple of rock pools that seemed very popular with the locals and tourists. The blowhole is always a big draw card to Kiama. The local fish market had school prawns which I haven’t been able to buy for quite awhile. If you like good coffee, you will not be disappointed. The Kiama Leagues Club was just down the road from our accommodation and our meal was very good. There is a very nice coastal walk with excellent views.

Kiama is a beautiful little town.

Kiama is a beautiful little town. The views are the draw card, around the harbour and the blowhole . It’s very walkable but hilly so be prepared. There is a bit of building going on improving facilities in town. A new shopping centre. The Salvos shop is awesome , large, clean and well spaced. The Vinnies shop is also a lovely place to browse. The cafes and restaurants are numerous and staff lively and energetic. Top tip; get off the main drag and see the side streets too, it’s very pretty.

The location, in walking distance to local cafe and tourist attractions, the market along the water’s edge on Sunday morning were fantastic. The cabin was clean and presented nicely, The outdoor barbecue facilities were fantastic, The cabins were situated in a nice quiet location considering the blowhole tourist spot is so close by with lots of traffic, which wasn’t a noise problem.

The gentleman that was at reception when we checked in was very nice & polite. Kiama Harbour Cabins supplied all the cooking utensils that we needed for our BBQ as well as all the other kitchen utensils. Our cabin was very big & spacious. Extremely clean. Spa was awesome! The music player was a nice added touch. We were in Cabin #17, and had a wonderful view. Can't fault it!

The apartment is centrally located, close to shops and restaurants, and to the Kiama Blowhole and the train station. It has a well equipped kitchen and is fairly spacious. The bedrooms are a bit small but okay for a couple of nights stay. It provides off street parking too. The building is a bit old and dated but the apartment itself was clean.

Kiama is a nice place and the location was very central to the centre of town with the cafes and restaurants. Nice characterful cottage. We were after something with more character than standard hotel/motel and this place delivered. Very clean, everything seemed brand new even tho the house was old. Host was very attentive but not intrusive.

The room was able to be heated or cooled. It was spotlessly clean. We were able to walk from there to all the Kiama attractions. We had a car park. The staff were smiley and nice on check-in. The water from the shower was hot and the shower was well ventilated. There was good storage space for luggage and space around the bed.

Two main points for me were a really comfortable bed and a great shower. The unit is very clean with a spacious layout. The unit is semi-detached from the main house but is very private, with its own courtyard.1min walk to the beach. 5 star rating and will book again when I return to Kiama.
