There are so many activities to experience during a Jiindabyne summer. Hiking is boundless, mountain biking is breath-taking, there are multiple craft breweries to visit and so many swimming spots along the lakefront. Hiring kayaks and fishing equipment is also possible but we ran out of time!!

I recommend staying at Jindabyne for the summer and winter seasons. The drive to Thredbo is a quick drive. The roads are cleared in snow season, we didn’t need to use the chains. Parking is easy and there’s free busses to the ski lifts. No need to stay in Thredbo. Jindabyne is much cheaper and has restaurants and the supermarket. I would never stay in Thredbo again. The supermarket is tiny and expensive in Thredbo. We stayed on the lake in a cabin which was perfect. We go for mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in winter.

Jindabyne is a nice and quiet place to have a short break during the summer. The lake is good for water activities, and being positioned at the foot of the mountains means day trips to Thredbo and Perisher/Charlotte Pass is an easy run. There are plenty of places still open to eat and a full supermarket for any other needs. There are also other activities going on in Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains through the summer, so google to see what's on and when.

Jindabyne is like a poor cousin toQueenstown NZ.
Jindabyne is like a poor cousin toQueenstown NZ. Nothing much happens off-season, but it is picturesque and a great jumping off point to Kosciouszko National Park. There's a little coffee shop, Jindabyne F2, very good hot chocolate. But the brasserie at Banjo Patterson on the main drag was disappointing. And the carpark at Nugget's Crossing Shopping Centre is a nightmare.

It was a great place to stay although a warning when planning a trip for those on blood thinning medication, please factor in the altitude may have an effect on you!! It did for me with breathing and pressure on my body, although each person is unique and may be affected in different ways. You might not have any problems, just be aware of the possibility.
Beautiful views, great walking track around the lake and lovely sights of Thredbo and Perisher not far away.

It was a very scenic place. Good place for ski hire.
It was a very scenic place. Good place for ski hire. The only let down was the restaurants. They were too expensive like $28 for 10 pieces of pasta with only pasta. The Japanese restaurant need a booking to enter.
Our lake facing loft room was very clean, obviously recently refurbished.Very large new flat screen TV with access to standard channels and Youtube but not Netflix or Stan.Balcony with table and chairs overlooking Bowling green and lake Jindabyne which was a highlight. On site parking at the back.Full buffet breakfast included with our booking.Beds and pillows very comfortable.Situated right next to old shopping/restaurant centre on main road into town.Woolworths and other retail and restaurants only a five minute walk away.
fantastic family run business with the ability to cater for large groups, and isolated sleeping quarters away from common rooms and busy areas. location fantastic near Jindabyne, within walking distances from an array of local venues. The staff are fantastic, incredibly accommodating, and happy to settle any issues immediately. The cooked breakfast the next day was an absolute plus! even though it is a shared bathroom/showering amenities they are clean and easy to use/access. Will stay again.
Location, closer to all amenities and a very clean house. It's a home away from home. Kitchen is very well equipped - slow cooker, four slice toaster, measuring spoons for baking, every little thing you need in a kitchen is there for you. Heaven for a cook like me ! On top of that, you can see the mighty Jindabyne lake while sipping tea in the morning (or evening) albeit standing. And a huge plus plus - 20 steps away from a brewery.
I cannot fault the Jindy Inn. The introductory on arrival we were all pleasantly related and encompassing. Room was large and well appointed and the continental breakfast 1st class hotel quality. Honestly a very pleasant stay and visit to Jindabyne, NSW. Congratulations to the owners, management and staff.
Everything was great, location near Jindabyne, not in the centre but a 10 minute drive out, peaceful and relaxing area in a cul de sac with no traffic. Room was spotless, kitchen fully equipped, bed was very comfortable, great view out onto the lake and finally I dont think I've ever seen a shower so big!
My husband I thouroughly enjoyed our stay at The Banjo Patterson. Staff were friendly and helpfuly, our room was clean and serviced beautifully during our stay. The bed was very comfortable. Will definitely be back. Position within walking distance to everything we needed in Jindabyne.
No cleanliness. The quilt covers, sheets were dirty and I believe they donot wash everytime after guests leave.
When I complained them to change the quilt covers and sheets, the manager told me to leave the hotel and find another hotel , this was at around 7:30 pm in night
Location , comfort , cleanliness , price. Bed was comfy and shower was good. Both myself and a work colleague have stayed in Jindabyne many times for work. On this occasion we had cabins and we both agreed that we would stay again as our preferred location.
Great little motel which is ideally located in Jindabyne. Only a 30 minute drive to Perisher during the weekday.
Beds were clean and comfortable, shower had great heat and pressure. Drying room was perfect for skiing. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
Amazing spot, very close to town! Great for a getaway in Jindabyne but not located in the hustle and bustle. Very luxurious spot. Extra Kudos for including a kitchen in the unit, which not many places in Jindabyne have.
The location is fantastic, very central to Jindabyne town centre. The accommodation itself is very cosy, great fireplace with really good lake views! The beds are super comfortable and blankets very warm :)
A very comfortable place to stay, right on the centre of town with great views and easy access to restaurants, bars, and shops. Good hot water, comfy beds, and a very well equipped kitchenette.
The house was comfortable, warm and walking distance to the shopping centres. The house has a washing machine and dryer, which enabled us to wash our sporting clothes each night.
Easy to collect keys with clear instructions sent through prior to arrival.
Really comfortable and budget friendly accommodation. I'd definitely stay here again.
