Fantastic hotel. It is a little bit older - but spotlessly clean. Very quiet as set on a huge block and away from any road noise. Also, next door to one of the best-looking pubs I have ever been to which was very handy to get dinner.

Great stop over halfway between Melb & Syd. Very clean, has great facilities and next-level food. The food was better than the average Sydney restaurant but half the price.
Always a great place to stop and rest.
Welcomed facilities and amenities, locals very friendly and helpful.
Plenty of places to eat i.e pubs and restaurants, bakery, shop i.e. craft, second hand books, supermarket and visit i.e. museums, parks and gardens.
Plenty of accommodation, catering all budgets.
Interesting and historical town.

Having read the reviews I wondered if it really was that clean. It was! Fabulous. The reviews were why we chose this place. And it was excellent. Even a bucket and a squeegy to clean the windscreens. Definitely our go to spot in Holbrook.

We stopped overnight en route to Melbourne because it's an easy 4 hour drive to Melbourne from there. It's a cute little town with good amenities and a submarine as the main tourist attraction.
We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Returned Serviceman's club, but the Holbrook Hotel and the Riverina Hotel are also good options.
There are 2 museums in the town, the Woolpackers and Australian Pottery Museums, which would be worth visiting.

I pass through every couple of weeks. It's not a bad little town... Apart from the Hotel, most coffee shops are OK. A good sandwich at JBs and a poached egg if required.
The museum across the road is interesting. It is a relatively cheap admission and well worth it to understand submarines. They will close if we do not visit these places, which would be a great loss.

This motel is within easy walking distance of the pub, which serves excellent food. The bowling club also offers meals and is also within easy walking distance. With easy access to the Hume Freeway in both directions, this motel is a perfect overnight stop for travellers and is well-priced.
It was a quirky old fashioned hotel, with lots of rooms. It had all the safety features required and was extremely clean. The staff were friendly and obliging. It was a bit of a shock to find that the bathroom and toilet facilities were communal, however they were also extremely clean, not far from the room and easy to get to. Knowing we would arrive around the time the kitchen closed we phoned earlier to order a meal. Reception were very amenable and the very tasty meal was available on arrival.
Great location for a “halfway spot” between Sydney & Melbourne. We were accommodated with no hassle at short notice. Room was very comfortable, but late arrival limited our use of the facilities and activities in the town. Staff (hotel-motel) were PARTICULARLY helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room around 8.30pm. We will definitely return!
Excellent and friendly communication via phone messaging prior to visit. We were able to order a very nice in room meal which suited our needs. Staff were also very friendly during and after our stay. The room was small but fine for a short stay. Holbrook was a nice surprise with a great op shop and Australian pottery museum.
Location was great, a short walk to the Submarine, the Holbrook Hotel for Dinner (and the AFL on the big screens:) the IGA etc
Was warm and toasty when we arrived on a cold winters day! Great large bathroom, plenty of towels, blankets etc and delicious home made date loaf to enjoy.
