Crown Hotel Motel, hotel in Grafton

Crown Hotel Motel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Grafton. Some rooms at the property have a patio with a river view. At the hotel, all rooms include a wardrobe.

Not much. Beds were surprisingly comfortable though. Was as clean as an old and dated motel can be. Except the toaster. It has never been cleaned.

Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. Right on the river there are some great little spots to fish, sit and look at the river and its occupants go by or have a picnic with a significant other lots to do and see around Grafton.

It was close (within walking distance to the big shopping centre) and it was simple to find. The staff were lenient and patient and when I asked for a ground floor room she gave it to me. The shower looked nice also.

Ann and David were perfect hosts.

Ann and David were perfect hosts. I wish we had stayed here on our way to Queensland before. Would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends. The cooked breakfast was really good. The cuppa and home made cake David made was an extra treat on our arrival. Will stay again for sure. Ros & Keith xx

Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained.

Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained. Kitchenette was from the 60's. Water in bathroom basin only had hot, shower needed a good scrub, mould on shower ceiling. No air con in main living area. Window that looked onto motel walkway curtains did not cover properly so people could see in when they walked past. Very over priced & over rated by others, are you sure they actually stayed there. Bates hotel would have been better. Town was on valium. Where has the old charm of Grafton gone? I would give Grafton a big miss.

Sadly it was raining the time we were there which limited what we were able to do. But we walked the main street and had brunch with friends who live there, who we had gone to see on our way home from our big trip South. It looks like a lovely town.

The location was perfect for this trip between Sydney and the Sunshine Coast. Given the floods further north, it was just the rght distance from Sydney, as we didn't know how bad the conditions would be for travelling. We had not stayed there for several years because of the new road from Glenugie to Ballina but the excellent facilities in the new units at Heritage River Motor Inn are so good that we will probably divert off the M1 to Grafton in the future to stay at this motel.

Andavine House is a great stopover if you travel with your dog. You have half the house and deck. It is very private and comfortable and the dog is welcome to stay inside with you in his own bed. Anne and David were so lovely and welcomed us upon arrival. Brekky is included. Hugo (the dog) and I loved staying there. The town center is a short stroll away and you can park the car on the property. Can highly recommend iAndavine House. Thanks, Anne and David for your hospitality.

No breakfast offered. Bed is it least 15 years old and was less than queen size as advertised. There were cobwebs behind the main door and in the corners of the main door way. The light above the bed did not work. There was no fly screen for the courtyard, which was heavily greens in the answer of mosquitoes. The main issue was the bed was too small and very old as were the pillowcases. We have been travelling for over 3 1/2 weeks and this was the worst hotel we stayed in.

The house is very spacious, warm and well maintained. The surrounding bushland is just beautiful, full of wildlife and colour. Everything we needed was provided, and Anne and Kevin were very welcoming hosts. We were all very comfortable in the beds provided, and the large bathroom including a bathtub was great for the kids with us. We would definitely stay again if we visit the Grafton area.

It was in a great location, very short walk to the Main Street, and had everything you needed, milk, tea, coffee and even some snacks! Every room had a fan and there was an air conditioning unit in the kitchen that kept the house cool if you left the bedroom doors open but we weren’t there in summer.Next time I’m in Grafton I will definitely be staying there.

I loved the views, the location, the ease at breakfast and dinner, the pleasure of local drives, the cute town of Grafton nearby. Wonderful room, great balcony overlooking the Clarence River. Kangaroos and echidnas, kookaburras and gregarious singing birds all around. Amazing house, with astonishing woodwork throughout by the owner. Lovely place.

The property was in a very central location, in flat walking distance to Prince Street, Roches Hotel, Grafton Regional Art Gallery, Schaeffers House Museum and the Clarence River. The house itself is very well appointed and has lovely country features, a large backyard with outdoor area, modern amenities throughout, and is a very relaxing home.

The room was relatively cheap, but I did settle for it as nothing else was available for my dates. The lady on the front counter was very welcoming and friendly. The room was fairly large and had a massive TV, good size kitchenette area. Air con was good, bed was comfy, shower good. It served my purpose.

The room was small but charming, a little bit different to the standard brick Aussie motel with a plate glass window looking out over the river. We were there overnight while on a bike trip, and and it was the perfect comfy spot to kick off the boots and relax with a beer overlooking the river.
