The hotel was very new. Beautifully appointed, great staff and overall fabulous.
The location suited us, we were in town for a family event near by. It was close to the train that made getting into the city easy when we wanted too. Only downside not a lot besides the hospital and train station near by. But for our needs was perfect.

Fremantle is a very walkable place. It's mostly flat and most things are within a 1 -2 km walk. We did not have a car and did not miss it. High Street is the place for cafes and shops. Bathers beach is great for restaurants and sunsets.
The pace in Fremantle is slow, which suited us. We had a wonderful 4 days here and would recommend Fremantle to anyone wanting to experience the friendliness of Western Australia and enjoy that small town feel.
Fremantle Markets is also brilliant.

Fremantle has a warm, nostalgic place in my heart but over the years it has become decidedly tatty. Yes, it has history to offer but the general atmosphere in the town is one of cafés, eateries and non-descript shops offering uninteresting souveniers.
The Fremantle town council is badly in need of a strategy to create a town that serves the broader community beyond a place to drink coffee any time in the week

Freemantle is a wonderful old town, which has retained its culture. We really enjoyed visiting the Round House (a former jail), for the info about it and the views!!!!!!
Also so easy to get to the port to go to Rottnest Island. The Quest is a 2 min walk from tbere, making it so accessible
The Hougoumont is in an ideal location for enjoying all that Fremantle has to offer. From the friendly welcome by staff on arrival, to the comfortable and well equipped accommodation, the complimentary cheese and wine evening and light breakfast in the morning, our trip was a real treat! We can’t wait to visit the hotel again. So glad we found this gem!
A quirky hotel in central Fremantle, full of charm and character, with lovely staff. Large bathroom with beautiful products available. The minibar was complimentary, and the free drinks from 5-6pm were appreciated. Large comfortable bed. Dinner at Emily Taylor next door was exceptional - fresh ingredients, very nice meal and well priced.
The building is beautiful. Suzanne (manager) was so kind, friendly and helpful. Great to have a chat with. Delicious breakfast. Fantastic decor and styling. Love the old meets the new vibe. Great location in Fremantle to station, wharf and main attractions of the city. Highly recommend.
It was a pleasant stay in a good, branded hotel within inner Fremantle. the room was a good size and the neighbourhood good for exploring central Fremantle with the restaurant and bars. Staff at reception were pleasant and very accommodating, Easy walk to Train Station with luggage.
Wonderful location right on the park overlooking the sea. Close to all the cafes and shops in Fremantle also. The staff are very friendly and helpful, when our bags were delayed from our flight they ensured we received them as quickly as possible. The hotel pool was great to relax by.
The manager made it very easy to check in and out even though my flights were the middle of the night. Feels very welcoming and lots of privacy, the kitchen was a huge plus. Such a great location for all the fun Fremantle things. Really hip cocktail places down the street.
This gem is a labour of love for its owner, who has renovated an old building in the heart of Fremantle to a very high standard- reminiscent of a European hotel! Comfortable, love the little verandah and very easy to stay in for a while! Perfect!
Beautiful quiet neighbour hood! Nice view from hotel balcony. We walked to great restaurants in the town. Must check out duck duck Bruce for breakfast and Fremantle Prison was worth a visit too. The hotel was very spacious and clean!
The location is perfect. Fremantle is a gorgeous city, and being able to walk everywhere is exactly what we were wanting. As well, the older parts of the hotel have a lot of history. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.
Nice big room with a good shower and amenties. The accomdation is close enough to the heart of Fremantle (5 minute drive) if you want to head out for a meal. A covered parking was a bonus which gave us more peace of mind.
Value for money, staff is very, very friendly and if you don't have a splendid idea of a hotel night that might be a real good option for one or two nights. Good location for Fremantle and Perth by car. Recommended.
Well appointed 3 bedroom apartment with 2 full bathrooms and a separate toilet; quiet location. 10 min walk to the heart of Fremantle. 5 min walk to Perth Markets. Friendly staff; able to store luggage.
Very welcoming and helpful reception team
Location a little bit out of Fremantle but close to public transport The hotel shuttle only works on weekends
Leah was particularly helpful
The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the centre of Fremantle. The whole place is quite cozy, the balcony areas and the kitchen is nice. The room is nice too.
Great location, fabulous staff and very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Fremantle. Nothing was too difficult for the manager, Marco.
amazing location in the heart of Fremantle. it is huge which is amazing for an extended stay and felt like you were staying in a little bit of Freo history
