An absolutely stunning part of the world, it felt so serene, the beach being across the road and hearing the waves crashing at night! A lot less tourists too! So wonderful to have everything you needed within 20-30 minutes drive away. So many different beaches/bays to explore along with lookouts, bush walks and the local shopping precinct. I'd highly recommend the Sunset Camel Ride along Birubi Beach, an incredible and memorable experience! 😀 I'll be back to visit and experience so much more!

The natural beauty of the Bay and The Spit and the number of activities that occupy every hour of the day and night. e.g. fishing, restaurants, cafes, walking, surfing and at times just sitting back and appreciating nature.

Fingal Bay was a quiet retreat from Nelson Bay with great food and friendly locals. Easily accessible to Nelson Bay by bike tracks. The unit was well catered for a longer stay and the grounds were clean and tidy. Would thoroughly recommend a stay there, although I don't want it to get too popular and get booked out!! The local bowling club was a good find for food and drinks.

What we like most was; the beach, fishing, 'the spit', the coffees, the close vicinity of all the facilities of Nelson's Bay; e.g. Holberts Oyster, Authentic Thai, Two Bob's Bakery, the walk at Tomaree headland, the Country Club and Shoal Bay, just to name a few.

    Fingal bay was beautiful

Fingal bay was beautiful And alway is such a beautiful part of NSW But The accommodation where we stayed Fingal Sand and surf! Was not worth the $7300 for 6 nights such a rip off we left a day early considering mosquitoes everywhere, No A/C. No curtains. bad smell though out house, Cobwebs where. Clothes line had cobwebs everywhere so couldn’t use it, No dryer, Couldn’t open veranda sliding doors, house very hot even though out side temp wasn’t to bad. No pool. Would not recommend anyone to stay there!
