Tiny Escapes Cradle Valley, hotel in Cradle Mountain

Offering scenic views of the garden, Tiny Escapes Cradle Valley is set in Moina, 28 km from Dove Lake There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay.

Had a great time in this cosy little getaway. Close to Cradle Mountain with great views from both the balcony and the living space. The kitchen had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and the smart TV was great for a night in. Definitely recommend at least 2 nights so you get to fully enjoy what the accommodation has to offer. Not negatives but just some things to consider: - I recommend checking in before dark as it might be difficult to navigate the first time. - Unsealed gravel road to property but handled fine in my 2wd SUV. - Steep steps up to loft bed with low ceiling. Overall an amazing stay, and I would definitely return!

One of the most scenic places we have ever seen.

One of the most scenic places we have ever seen. We went back into the park late at night to stargaze. We had never seen the Milky Way look like that. Utterly beguiling, a true “must do”. Dove Lake is just a perfect place to visit. We will definitely be returning.

An absolutely stunning national park, with lakes and mountains and lots of fresh air! There is only one road into the park, and once you have passed the visitor centre and various accommodation options, CM can only be accessed via the Park Service's shuttle buses. This has stopped the nightmare of people driving on roads they are not capable of handling, and makes your trip up to Dove Lake far more pleasant, Check the park service's website for ticket options and prices, and also for the range of marked walking trails to suit all capabilities. Check out the photos, and make sure you visit at least once!

If you love walking, hiking or mountains in general Cradle Mountain is a blessing. Walks and circuits for every person, from the easy to the challenging one, from 20 minutes to 10 hours depending on your readiness, fitness, and training. Clean and well-maintained with spectacular views from the top, weather permitting :-). Keep in mind that you are in a mountain environment and the weather can change quickly and completely in a very short time. Good phone coverage on quite the whole area, and if you are into astrophotography its a Bortle 1 sky, cannot get better then that.

We loved our visit to Cradle Mountain.

We loved our visit to Cradle Mountain. Our first stop was the Devils @ Cradle sanctuary where we had an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the Tasmanian Devil and the Quolls at the sanctuary. We were able to see 5 Devils being fed. Though they looked cute, they had very sharp teeth and managed to tear through the meat and bones quickly. We then went on a bus trip to Dove Lake and were able to take some great photos. Would love to visit here again.

Love the walks at Cradle Mountain.

Love the walks at Cradle Mountain. We went to devils@cradel which was so interesting. Really recommend it but keep your hands out of the devil enclosures! Bring warm clothes - lots of layers is best. We were there end of Feb and it was cold at night and early morning. We had a wild wombat just amble by, eating as it went.

The Villa Cabin was exceptionally clean, warm and welcoming upon arrival. The bathroom had towel rack warmers. I really liked how there was plenty of room with a spacious living and kitchen area. Plenty of room for the kids to roam around. Extra blankets in cupboards were also a nice touch. Location was superb being right adjacent to the cradle mountain visitor centre. The main restaurant was closed during our stay and we dined at Peppers Tavern which was only 5min down the road!

Our room was very comfortable. The hotel feels pretty upmarket, and has a spa and different meal options available. We had the buffet breakfast & at night were happy with the food choices from the bar (oh, and the beer and mulled gin!). Log fires were warm and cosy. We enjoyed the bush views from the back deck over a quiet beer after a long day of hiking at Cradle Mountain (tourist info centre barely a kilometre down the road).

Our family of three absolutely loved our stay at the Cradle Mountain Highlanders. It was our favourite accommodation whilst in Tassie. It was very clean and well appointed. Excellent cooking facilities. The beds were super comfortable. The cabins are spaced well appart with trees all around with wildlife literally at your doorstep. It was such a peaceful, private place to stay, so quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

There is so much to like about Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, it's hard to know where to start. Facilities are amazing, food out of this world, staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and of course the location is exceptional. Spend some time in the day spa for a very relaxing afternoon to cap your visit off. In short an incredible stay, it's a little pricey but worth it

It is quiet, the cabins are well spread out, and it’s located so closed to the visitor centre. The cabin we stayed in is spacious, clean and has everything we need to keep us warm and snug. tThe kitchen is very well equipped so we could cook our meals. Dianne was very welcoming and the gentleman staff was very nice to teach us how to lit the wood fire.

Accommodation in Cradle Mountain can be expensive, so this was a good quality hotel that represented better value for money. Beautifully situated with our room opening out onto the forest and the room itself was good; large, clean and warm. Breakfast which was included was plentiful and good.

We had an upgrade into the two bedroom deluxe cabins which are new. The underfloor heating was a lovely addition on the cold mornings. The cabin is fantastic and had all we needed, very comfortable. Easy to walk to the bus for Cradle Mountain and staff were super friendly and helpful.
