The staff were nice enough - it changed hands on the day we arrived and it was very disorganised.

The room was very well laid out and the bathroom was excellent. It has been refurbished since we last stayed there and they've done a great job. The kitchenette was well set up with utensils and with a decent sized fridge. There was a free laundry which was useful too.

Coona is a lovely country town with good amenities from shopping to restaurants and cafes. The local chinese restaurant and the local bakery are very good.
It is well located to visit the Warrumbungles and Siding Spring Observatory.
Coona also has a number of good motels to chose from.

Now, we were there for work, and I managed to get sick, so I missed out on a few attractions, but Coona seems like a nice, friendly town. My family managed to get to see one of the observatories, and see some of the planets in real life, including Saturn's rings, so they were absolutely stoked. Apparently a new telescope will be operating there soon, with even better views.

lovely town, all amenities we required, friendly locals, fantastic base for the Warrumbungle National Park Siding Springs Observatory, fantastic Chinese restaurant across road, really good pizza shop, great pub
This was a story of the hotel from hell. No exaggeration The sheets had not been changed since last client. Their was hair and flaky skin. Pillow cases smelt like dirty hair and had a blood spot on on. The tap dripped all night. Shower curtain in shared bathroom was torn right though the middle and the trucks just keep going on the busy road all night. The shared kitchen was filthy. Microwave shocked me.
I enjoy to have big drives, this was the first time I've been in Coonabarabran and by chance I booked into this place. I was so happy with the genuine, relaxed friendly reception. The room was clean, warm, safe and well equipped. Plenty of room to park and get stuff out of the car. The accommodation was spacious, the shower was great, the bed was comfy and I love the style. I will definitely return!
Convenient location on north western side of Coonabarabran to continue my journey north to Brisbane.
The lovely lady at the reception was friendly and check-in took only a minute.
The room was comfortable and very quiet, there was no noise from the highway after dark (I had been concerned that the trucks might be noisy at night; however, the traffic was very minimal after sunset)
The room and bathroom were very clean. There were plenty of bathroom amenities supplied. Beautiful Bath Sheets and face washers. Good quality bed linen and a very large comfortable bed. Easy walking distance to clubs, pubs, and shops. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to book accommodation in Coonabarabran it is by far the best motel in town.
The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was functional. Access and parking was very good. Although there are not many restaurants in town they are all an easy walk from the hotel and local food was very good. There is a large Woolworths shop within 500 meters from the hotel and the National Park is an easy drive away.
Perfect distance between Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungles. The pool was great in the hot weather. Nice property to walk around and nice open sky views at night.
There were some let downs but this place is ideally located and we might stay here again. Hopefully the management fix the issues we encountered.
Despite the central location, The Imperial Hotel was very quiet at night. The rooms are minimalistic but comfortable - including the bed. The water pressure and shower head in the shower was good. The lounge area and kitchen was a nice touch - including a large fridge for storage.
A new bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and well kept and was the right size for me and the wife who in some hotels we stayed in didn't bump into each other.
