We would have liked more options for lunch - somewhere warm...
We would have liked more options for lunch - somewhere warm to sit and eat and admire the view. We ended up buying fish and chips and eating it in the car. The Ice Creamery, where we bought lunch, was freezing cold. Should have eaten at Freycinet Lodge, but it was too early when we were there. It is only easy to get around Coles Bay if you have a car. Some places are not suitable for caravans.
Our favourite places are Honeymoon Bay and the Lighthouse walk.

Coles Bay is a beautiful spot to explore the stunning walks...
Coles Bay is a beautiful spot to explore the stunning walks around the Hazards and Wineglass Bay. There's a small store / post office that has all the basics and more, plus a fish & chip shop and great coffee bar/restaurant. Great to stay here for a few days and explore Sleepy Bay, Cape Tourville and Wineglass Bay lookout walks. The oyster farm is also well worth a visit.
You definitely need a car to make the most of the area.

Coles Bay is just stunning and deserves more than the two...
Coles Bay is just stunning and deserves more than the two nights and one day that we had. Ideally, two full days if not more. Lots of hiking, beaching, kayaking etc. Loved it. Lucky those who own a house there!

On beautiful days it’s great for swimming and icecream.
On beautiful days it’s great for swimming and icecream. Lots of walking for those interested in that too. Often no need for a car but I used my escooter to get about the best, lots of people on bikes too. The Bay restaurant was a lovely atmosphere and seating.

Lovely scenic location.
Lovely scenic location. Could have stayed another day/night here. Lots of local bush walks, etc.
Initially was concerned with meal/dining options - but discovered a few lovely spots, thanks to our host.
We were given a quiet cabin on the edge of the site and were very pleased with the location. It was very well equipped, bed was comfortable. Campsite was quiet considering the numbers of people using it. Cafe and tavern on site with good pizzas and other food. Easy walking distance by attractive waterside walk (with lovely views of the Hazards) to Coles Bay with its excellent ice creamery/fish and chip shop and supermarket.
Looks and feels new which is nice. It is located outside of the Coles Bay township. Good size kitchen. The Deck is a nice addition. Overall it was a nice place to stay. There is a drug pickup location at the bus top if you are after something illegal. not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
Very neat, a well organised tidy little self contained unit, great for venturing into Freycinet NP or Coles Bay! All cooking facilities including microwave and stove. Heated blankets! Cosy feel.
