Cobram is so sweet, we decided to move up and are building at this stage. It has the Country feel with all the amenities of a large city without impeding on the Country feel. Local pub had excellent food and staff all remembered us from our previous stay 5 months ago. This trip was to arrange the house and Better Electrical couldn't have been more accommodating, same as Dollar Blinds etc. We were able to arrange all our new furniture, flooring, blinds with ease and help of the staff at the various place. The bakery was partners favourite breakfast location. We have been to Thompsons beach on previous occasions and it is beautiful, but the mosquitos leave a lot to be desired. The whole area is just a short drive to other places to be explored

Really impressed with the range of services offered in the town, especially independently owned retail stores (in city retail dominated by chain stores), great sporting facilities. Walks around town and in national parks near river are great (but need better signage). Cobram is succumbing to urban sprawl (eg proposed retirement village, River Rd subdivision) when lots of space within the town boundary. An attraction of the town is the horticulture up to the town boundary - don't lose it.

If you love the river its great, we used Cobram as a staying point, we were wanting to look around all the surrounding areas and to visit a family member in Cobram. It is a nice place to stay for a weekend, to get away from your usual routine. But for me I wouldn't do a long stay there, however I would stay there again for a short time. The town itself is friendly, and easy to get around. It has a safeway and bakery, and plenty of other shops, some are closed due to the COVID-19. But as I said it is a nice clean quiet and friendly place to visit for a weekend away.

We spent 2 hours on the Cobba paddle boat as an extended family followed by an afternoon at Thompsons Beach. The youngsters had a mini crawl with a beer at each of the Top, Central and Bottom pubs and were picked up by the courtesy bus and brought to the Barooga Pub for dinner. A great evening meal for 23 people at the Barooga Pub where the service was exceptional. The courtesy bus delivered everyone home to their respective accommodations in Barooga and Cobram. The weather was great and we kept cool at the beach and dinner venue. A great big extended family trip to Cobram.

This is a nice small country town, readily accessible via VLine and has everything one needs. During our short stay (November) our only problem was the unbearable heat. We would like to see the shire planting more trees for shade.

We travelled to Cobram for the Annual Tennis Tournament. The location of the property was very central and it was an easy walk to the tennis courts and all the shops. The air conditioning was brilliant and kept the house really cool despite the 3 days being mid 30 plus. The beds were really comfortable and the house had everything we needed for our stay.

Tokemata retreat is set on the outskirts of Cobram on a lovely property. Our cabin was beautifully appointed and clean. The breakfast provisions were generous and we appreciated the bottle of wine! A lovely 'pied a terre' to explore the region and Cactus Country!
