I was born in Bundaberg grew up there I have fond memories but upon returning after 20 odd years I was surprised by the changes, some for the good some for the worse nothing serious. The city is very beautiful I would call it a garden city. For a tourist I would say you there's plenty to see some of which are only available in that part of the world. There are ample affordable hotels and motels plus great restaurants around the city. plus the people are very friendly.

Bundy is good for brief stays to do specific activities such as turtle watching or trips to the reef. Surrounding countryside is fine as long as you like looking at cane fields and macadamia orchards. Local pubs and clubs are OK for meals. The town is a bit tired, with many shops closed or for lease.

Bagara & Bundaberg are both very pleasant places to stay in.

Bagara & Bundaberg are both very pleasant places to stay in. We were only there for a couple of days, and it rained most of the time. We intend to go again, and this time go to Lady Musgrave Island. As our trip had to be cancelled as the weather was bad & it was too rough. There is a lot to see & do around Bundaberg. It's a very nice & friendly place. Next time we would like to stay for a week if we can.

We traveled to Bundaburg for the Lady Musgrave Island excursion - that was amazing and completely worth the time. However, the town itself is a bit dated/boring - the only thing we really enjoyed were the bats at dusk.

There is so much fresh produce you can buy direct from the farmers. They sell on market place, when you get there they have an honor system. There is the bundaberg distillery, gin factory and if you want a nice meal you could try the Brothers Sports Club also grunskes restaurant they also sell fresh fish best prawns I've tasted in awhile. Also try the old bundy tavern they have great lunches and a cold beer to wash it down 😉

The hostel is in a fab location and I wish every hostel had beds with curtains/blinds like this one. It's a nice small place with a lovely community feel and free washers and dryers. Daisy, the woman running the hostel, couldn't do enough for you and shuttled me to and from areas of Bundaberg at very little cost. Overall, I loved my time in Bundaberg and Daisy helped make it feel super special, recommending a trip to Mon Repos turtle centre to watch turtles laying eggs on the beach!

The location is great being next door to, and across the road from, multiple fast food outlets. It is also very close to the Bundaberg Base Hospital, the Burnett River and parks. The CBD and train station are not far away. Once we got the room cooled down with the air-conditioning, we were able to turn it off and just have the ceiling fan on. The chairs were nice and soft to sit on. The staff were very nice and followed up my online booking with a phone call to confirm.

A cabin in a caravan park on the banks of the Burnett River. Quite small but comfortable. Cabin could do with a little bit of TLC as looking a little bit tired. Within walking distance of the Bundaberg CBD. Easy to get from there to Bagara and the other seaside areas and the botanical gardens. Easy to do all the riverside walks as well.

    3. Plates and cutlery clean and well-presented. Good for eating in-house. 2. Staff provided a menu for the Railway Hotel which was within easy walking distance and which offered a good range of meals. We ate well with a pleasant walk home. 1. Staff considerate of our delayed arrival.

The venue was walking distance to a party we travelled to Bundaberg to attend. The staff were lovely and the rooms were clean and spacious. We had a lovely breakfast at a little cafe next door. If we travel to Bundaberg again we would choose to stay at the Burnett Riverside Hotel.

Karen was great. Clean, good beds, great shower, clean and silent. Of course not a hotel, but that’s also not what you should expect. For people that like to experience all types of stays like us, this was a great experience. Price-quality wise this is an absolute 10.
