Brad was a great host and the rooms were really nice and cosy. Also a nice bonus that it was close to the lake shore and the yacht club.

The location was great. There was an excellent cafe at Mark's Point a few blocks away, and the motel was within easy walking distance to the lake.
I was surprised and delighted to find my bed had been made and fresh towels provided when I came back after walking my dog. During a 2-night stay this was unexpected.
The manager was very accommodating. He let me check in an hour or so early.
The grounds were very well maintained.

our rooms were pretty clean and i like that they had a dinning area where we could make coffee and have our breaky lunch or dinner. Staff was really nice helpfull aswell.

We turned down the room we booked as it was upstairs. The room we were allocated was not refurbished. It was old but exceptionally clean. Bed needs replacing or mattress topper fitted. Fantastic water view from our door where there was a table & chairs, so we enjoyed a drink from there.
We were only there for one night & it was close to the location we had to be at 10am the next day. Yes, I would stay again. The cost was very reasonable.

I was only in Belmont a short time for a boxing event however it was my second trip there and I would absolutely go back!
I ate dinner at the squids ink restaurant which has a view of Lake Macquarie & serves excellent food! Westfield Katara is only a short drive away. Redhead beach is only a 5-10 minute drive away! It’s super easy to find your way around and there’s plenty of fishing & other activities to do!

Belmont Hotel Lake Macquarie is good value for money, centrally located to shops, local restaurants and sightseeing venues like Swansea, Caves Beach to the south and Newcastle and Nelsons Bay to the north. Staff were friendly and helpful, parking was free. Standard king room was clean and generous size, would have been nice to have a table and chair to eat. Bed and sheets were clean, air conditioning was perfect for the warm weather. Tea and coffee making facility are good but would have been nice to have refill of coffee as I stayed for 3 days at the hotel, bins weren't emptied out as well. Bathroom was clean, toilet and shower were both working fine. Overall, it was still a very pleasant stay at Belmont Hotel.

A very pleasant alternative to staying closer to Newcastle.
Nearby Gunyah Hotel and 2 sailing clubs provide good dining

I like the area it is safe, the water front just down & around the corner is the most beautiful area for a morning stroll or a picnic. Lots of shady trees & the views are great , we saw the fire works on Saturday night, the grand kids were very happy.

I only used the Belmont location as a "base of operations" as it was central to the various family and extended family that I was catching up with. I could not fault the Wise Owl cafe [ate there 2 days in a row] and it's on my planed stops once I go back to Belmont - I was "ripped off" at the McDonalds and KFC drive throughs. I paid for numerous items [for myself and family members] only to find that there were items missing and or not the things I ordered. But when your driving it's not wise to pull over just to check, Certainly not worth going back to complain when they did not even give you a reciept - Belmont is Belmont. I left there in the 1970's - Not much has changed
The staff were very efficient and friendly and the room was reasonably priced. My room was simple but very clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed with plenty of on-site parking.
If needed, the bistro and bar downstairs has an excellent choice of food and beverages at reasonable prices, which is a big advantage over a motel. The hotel itself looks fresh, upbeat and modern.
Also, the location is convenient being on the highway and relatively close to the attractions of the Lake Macquarie area.
The room had been recently renovated and looked much nicer than the outside of the motel would make you think. Bed was comfy - all very clean, nice flowers in the room. Can park right outside room as you would expect in a motel. Room a decent size. Usual things, microwave, fridge, glasses. It is close to Belmont and right across from the lovely lake, not far from the beach either. Good cafes in nearby Warren Bay.
Great location in front of the lake with car parking on site. This hotel has bar & restaurants overlooking the lake and sunset. Friendly staff and affordable price.
There are minimum amenities provided in the room. Very sustainable and good for environment 👍 We love this accommodation🩷

love staying at this motel!! very friendly manager/staff. rooms were very clean and tidy. convenient location, across the road from the kids park and a short drive to the main Belmont shops and food precinct. great value for money. would highly recommend!!
Location for Newcastle was perfect. Great views over the lake (if you get a 1st floor lake view room). Dinner at restaurant was nice but they are separate to the motel and also wont be doing breakfast soon, just lunch and dinner.
Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a top room facing the lake, so view was beautiful, and we could not hear the road. Location is reasonably near the Belmont main shopping street, as well as several restaurants.
The motel was old, however had just been refurbished, and the room, albeit small, was very clean and comfortable. Being waterfront on Lake Macquarie was a bonus for beautiful sunsets.
The staff were fantastic. Very warm and accommodating and made us feel valued and at home. The meals at the hotel restaurant were delicious. Definitely would eat there again.
Rooms had everything in them, beds were very comfy & clean, room was clean, nicely located to local beaches & lake Macquarie, & Belmont shopping centre a 5 minute drive.
