The larger sized fridge and self contained aspect i.e. microwave and dishes, was very handy. The bed was extremely comfortable to sleep in.
Loved the Kalgon Queen cruise. Jack, the host was brilliant.
Loved the Kalgon Queen cruise. Jack, the host was brilliant. Denmark was disappointing- not much to do and mostly shut. The Gap was also closed for maintenance, which was very disappointing. Earl of Soencer pub did a nice dinner. Local Indian takeaway was excellent too.

Having visited Albany many times over many years, I have always loved returning to Albany. A visit to Mount Clarence and Mount Melville for the most spectacular views over the King Sound is an absolute must. A visit to Frenchman’s and Emu Point, the gap and the blow holes are well worth a visit.

Loved the Whaling Museum and the Anzac drive and centre. Could have easily stayed another day or two. Would have liked to look at the other museums and sights. Unfortunately, there was a severe weather warning out the couple of days we were there so beach visits weren't as enjoyable as they could have been - but the views were still amazing.

We are from Perth and have visited Albany many times for holidays and short stays, the weather can be sometimes a bit tricky, but even when it is overcast, cold and windy we don't mind, there is always something to enjoy, the secenery is fantastic and very impressive, especially The Gap is always a must for us.
We just love Albany, regardless the sometimes overcast weather.

Albany is a great place to use as a base to explore the south-West of WA. Roughly 4.5hr drive from Perth, Albany is the perfect weekend getaway or why not stay for a while? Lovely drive and plenty of little towns to explore and stretch your legs on the way. Beautiful scenery, particularly the stunning yellow fields (Canola) in Spring time.
Discover local attractions such as the natural bridge or the gap along the rugged but picturesque coastline. The ANZAC memorial, or venture off to the Stirling Ranges, or the quaint little town of Denmark.
So much to see and do...

There are so many things to do in and around Albany.
There are so many things to do in and around Albany. The guide brochure on local walks lists many and we were only able to fit in three on our stay. You could spend a week just on these if you are a serious hiker. The terrain and scenery that they cover make each one unique. The natural attractions such as Natural Bridge, The Gap and The Blow Hole were all worth a second visit. We were also lucky enough to see whales off the coast from these locations.
There are numerous attractions such as the Historic Whaling Station which requires at least half a day to take in. There are also wineries with nice restaurants for lunch in the district.
The Earl of Spence and the Premier Hotel provided hearty meals during our stay.

The chalets are pet friendly and it is located in the perfect spot with ease of access to the beach and surroundings. The staff was very friendly and pet friendly, always providing excellent services. The chalet was impeccably clean, secure and peaceful. My daughter (pet) and I had such an amazing holiday thanks to this wonderful chalet and their staff. Will definitely be back for another holiday before the end of this year.
After hours check-in option and instructions worked well – was very convenient after a long day on the road and arriving into the night.
Great staff – friendly and professional.
Interesting classic oldschool feel to the hotel.
Room was quite basic but clean – good for a night or two.
Shared facilities close by were clean and tidy.
Location in the heart of Albany was great.
FABULOUS! BEST accom in WA, let alone in Albany. 100+ sq metres beautifully furnished to the highest standard & very well equipped. A labour of love by the owners. Rich & retired, I stay in 50+ good hotels etc a year: this beats them all. highly recommended, especially the upstairs suite.
I am a return visitor to the Albany Holiday Units. This stay was also very enjoyable. The units are a bit older but a good size, clean, comfortable and self-contained with a good kitchen. Location is great, close to the beach and close to town.
A standard modern and clean motel/hotel style room with a big comfortable bed and a nice clean bathroom. Centrally located in Albany, walking distance to restaurants etc.
