There is a bit of roadworks going on in Albany and unfortunately one wrong turn had me doing a big loop - this looks to be quite temporary however. There is a lot of history in Albany and so many funky little shops that I didn't get a chance to look at, I will definitely be returning to Albany. Everything seems fairly central, but the most interesting natural wonders are just a bit out of town, which you will need a car for - The Gap and Natural Bridge, and Cozy Corner.. gorgeous little hidden beach about 20 min out of town. Camping site are also well maintained.

    ALBANY is amazing.

ALBANY is amazing. We have visited numerous times over the past 20 yrs but the first cabin No 1 Rose Gardens at Emu Point was awful. We asked to be moved and for an extra fee we were offered much better accommodation which was lovely. The managers were friendly...however not happy that we thought the first cabin was dirty and run down.

Albany has a lot to offer. We enjoyed the town with its art galleries, woodwork gallery, helpful tourist information office, food and coffee outlets. Visit the Vancouver Arts Centre for interesting installations as well as the historic old hospital building. The Albany Heritage Park and National Anzac Centre are well worth visiting and revisiting - what a wealth of historical information in an engaging, interactive display! Nearby coastal highlights at Emu Point and The Gap and Natural Bridge are not to be missed. This is an area of stunning natural beauty.

Havana Villa’s is always so welcoming My family and I usually book a couple of the villas and we all travel together This time has not disappointed and as usual we are very happy with our stay The staff are always smiling and really friendly, provide extra clean towels, floor mats and flannels when needed The rooms are beautiful, clean and have all we need for our stay I would definitely recommend Havana Villa’s to anybody, my family and I don’t stay anywhere else whenever we visit Albany

The elegance of the house and the nice little touches which make this house into a home away from home (the Christmas tree was an unexpected bonus). The house is filled with light and access to the outside verandah is available from every room. The views are great and the location is peaceful and tranquil. I started to relax the moment we entered the house. I highly recommend it as the only true luxury accommodation in Albany, and I'm looking forward to my next stay in this wonderful house.

Craig, the proprietor, greeted us and gave us a fantastic summary of what we should see in Albany with orientation on a map. Set us up at an excellent restaurant (Lime 303 at Dog Rock) and surprised us with hot tea and delicious scones after our first venture out. (BTW, If you are a golfer, the property is adjacent to Albany Country Club where the public can play quit reasonably.) The breakfast included was excellent. No negatives to this property in our opinion.

We really enjoyed our stay at salt 112. It was very modern and felt very welcoming. It’s located in one of Albany’s nicest suburbs, Middleton Beach. The beach is an easy 10min walk and the town is a short scenic drive away. The huge enclosed backyard was a bonus for our dogs and the fish & chip shop down the road was very convenient.

The bar and its staff were young but very professional. We enjoyed watching them make cocktails. The food at the bar was also good -particularly the beef croquettes. The location was fantastic. and the panoramic view from our hotel room was mesmerising.
