A very spacious, modern and well equipped apartment. Everything was spotlessly clean. A pleasant and friendly host. After a heavy snowfall the parking space and even our car was cleared off the snow the following morning. The free entrance to sauna facility in Mariapfarr was a welcome bonus.

It was in the mountains, which means, that views were amazing. There was a space to park our car. Breakfast were sufficient continental breakfast and we were stuffed, if we wanted to. Staff of the hotel was nice and helpful.

It is a compact city, once you are in the center you can access all the popular stores/supermarkets by walk. Parking was also not a problem, 1.5 hours you can stop without paying. It is a classical old small city. They have a lot of locally produced tasty products. There is a nice church on the hill, worth to visit.

Nice skiing experience in Lungau (especially Fanningberg)...
Nice skiing experience in Lungau (especially Fanningberg) and Obertauern (oh, the views!) and almost no other options to spend your time. No problem for us although not recommended if you're expecting wide options of local restaurants or sweet-spot towns. The Alps are stunning here - not architecture or variety of local services.
The host family is very kind and helpful. We have received nice surprise presents from them. The apartment is clean, well equipped and cozy, ideal for families. There is a great view to the City of Tamsweg, to the snow covered mountains, and to an illuminated church on the mountain-side, which is really beautiful. 4 Ski resorts are only 15 minutes drive away. Great for winter holidays as my experience. And I can imagine for summer vacations as well with hiking in the near mountains.

Tamsweg itself is very well located, close to all well known ski resorts (Obertauern, Maunterdorf, Katschberg), but with much lower price than in the resort.
Warm guest, very talkative and friendly... she waited us on first day to handover the appartment.
Overall very good, highly recommend and for sure we will return one of next ski seasons.
The pension is very close to the center, shops and the tourist office. Excellent breakfast was provided in a nearby hotel. This is the only pension that has a hotel quality bedding, good towels and daily cleaning. Staff did everything to take care of little details that needed to be fixed. The room was spacious, with a balcony. Highly recommended.
Everything was perfect, from the lady at reception to the service at dinner and the staff Looking after our room. We only wish we could have stayed longer and experienced the spa facilities and enjoyed the hotel longer. The food was delicious too and the breakfast was lovely. Free parking was offered and there was a minimal charge for our dog.

Cozy room with a convenient location to reach ski areas. The staff offered us a nice room with a bathtub to help relax the tiredness from the driving and skiing. Recommend to get there by car and it was easy to park near by the hotel too!
Beautiful bathroom, rather soft bed is much better than the usual "cardboard" mattresses, nice staff, several tasty items (eggs, bread and salami etc) for breakfast, the hotel is exactly how it looks in the pictures.
Clean, modern accommodation that's used as a hotel only for 6 weeks a year. Otherwise its student's home for local school. Good breakfast, nice and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
