Absolutely amazing place - sleeping at a castle is a wonderful experience. There was also tour included and we were allowed to check out after the tour which served us well. The staff were very kind and helpful. The castle itself is very nice, including the surrounding area.

A new and pleasant spa area with terraces for relaxing with breathtaking views of the Traunsee. Beautiful private beach, nice restaurant. A wonderful room (however, without a kettle, tea and coffee, as well as without skin moisturizers, without hygiene kits in the bathroom at all, which is a bit unexpected for a hotel of this level). Except for the noted moments, it is ideal, even if you are without a car: a taxi to the center of Gmunden costs 15 euros, you need to order a taxi either the day before or 1 hour before the planned departure.

Whoever wants to escape the big city and recharge in a quiet rustic place, this is a great location to do that.
It isn't far from Traunsee. It is close to countless nature hiking trails. We hiked through the forest to Laudachsee, took a tour around the house, grilled outside with friends and had a beautiful stay altogether.
I warmly recommend this place.
