I had a single room - the bed was 'OK', the shower was a bit dated, but all very cosy and comfy. The view was gorgeous over the lake. The staff were lovely. The food (dinner) was fantastic and the breakfast was lovely!

The place itself is very nice and clean and he staff is very friendly. While I loved the place I would not stay there again simply because of the LOUD church bells across the street that wake you up at 6AM and keep you up.

There are beautiful lakes in the near surroundings that you can reach with short ride, not only the Attersee. You don't have to stay right at the lake. The town is small but nice, you find all you need, good restaurants, supermarket, some shops. Bring your bike or rent one! Go for hiking or for a klettersteig! Salzkammergut is a wonderful area!

Nice traditional Austrian hotel. The interior is a bit dated - especially the bathrooms - but the rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable and I had a nice balcony.
The room was clean and the breakfast had everything you could wish for.
The best thing was the owner though. He was super friendly and accommodating.
Everything was according to our expectations, the host was super friendly. Great traditional meals and breakfasts. If you're looking for traditional, typically austrian accommodation at very good location (5mins to Attersee), definitely try Gasthof Steinberger. Easy parking right in front of gasthof.
Kind and helpfull staff, clean rooms, nice traditional berg hotel style building with spa. I liked the lawn right next main building with a loungers. There is a train (tram) stop near the hotel which takes you directly to the Attersee and rides every hour. Nice nature all around.
We really enjoyed the whole stay in the hotel. The stuff is super nice and even though we spoke mostly English (or with a bad German) we always managed to understand each other. Lady on the reception was amazing. Breakfast was so good! The whole experience was very nice.
The hotel would obviously need some refurbishment, Wi-Fi was really bad so that would need some improvement as well. But the location was great and the staff were very nice and friendly. I can just recommend! Lovely place and the surroundings are breathtaking!
We had the room on the swimming pool side so it was a nice view from the balcony and very quiet at night.
We could park the bikes behind the hotel where the entrance was locked at night.
