Breakfast was typical Austrian and I love that. The staff was very attentive. They put together a meal for me after the restaurant had closed for the evening. The feather beds were wonderful. They had a centrally located drink refrigerator on the honor system.

Oberpullendorf is not a beautiful city, but still it has a charm and it's quite. There are good restaurants and it has a good outdoor pool also. You can take nice walks in the city. Kőszeg in Hungary is very close, also Lackenbach with its castle and park, Markt Sankt Martin with a lake to swim in, Kobersdorf, Landsee, Lutzsmannsdorf.
