Host was very helpful and friendly. Property was easy to find using Google navigation. Breakfast was rich and diverse. We were served homemade apple juice which was on of the best we ever tasted. Room was very clean and warm. We even had a small balcony. The place is 15 minutes walk from town center and around 25 min car drive to ski lifts. Free car parking was provided.

Oberfresen is situated in the Koralpe, sunny and protected from western winds. The terrain and the weather is not as rough as in the central Alps. In the valleys, they grow wine.
The old, small towns are neat and tidy. In the towns, in the hills and on the Alms, there are surprisingly many Buschenschänke or Hütten, where you can enjoy some light meal, wine, beer or a cup of coffee.
The infrastructure for tourism is excellent but we had the feeling that we were almost the only tourists around.
