(Summer review). Good "Headquarters" to explore the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Wildkogel Arena is just the nearest attraction, but many other are at hands: Krimms, Habachtal, Grossglocknerstrasse, etc.
The sorroundings are particularly suited for mountain bikers and hikers. More in general, the bike (E-bike or not) is the best way to move along the valley. Close to neukirchen you can also find many locations to swim and bath.

Gasthof Siggen is a great place to stay at.
Gasthof Siggen is a great place to stay at. It is a perfect place to start hiking , also very close to Wildkogel Arena ( about 7 minutes by car). Breakfast was great and they have restaurant open from 11 am .
People are very nice and you have the feeling of being home.
Greatly recommend ( actually I have already made another reservation 😍)

What a beautiful apartment. We stayed here during the summer period and the location is perfect for it. The apartment is located a 5 minute walk from the ski-lift which brings you up to 2000m (included with the summer card). Besides, with a 2 minute walk you are at the hotel in which you can use the swimmingpool (outside) and the wellness.
The apartment itself is really complete, including 2 double-bed bedrooms, two balconies, a really good coffee machine (with beans) and all other things you need.
Staying at Venedigerhof was the best decision! The room was comfortable, super clean, and had an amazing view! Stefan and the other staff were all so kind. The kids were thrilled to go ice skating and sledding and the hotel provided the items to use. Breakfast was traditional breads and meats. Dinner was delicious! We hope to return in the summer! Thank you for such a lovely vacation!

Dinner at the hotels restaurant was great. The seafood chowder certainly is something you will not get at many places in Austria - a reason to travel to Neukirchen!

Breakfast was exceptional! Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful & the hotel was just great. Would definitely recommend! Dogs are also welcomed warmly.
