Accomodation was very nice, comfortable, clean, with a good private parking. Owner was very friendly and helpful. There are lot of possibilities for bike tours in this area. Breakfast was very tasty. We enjoyed a very nice holiday there.

Villa Viola is definitely one of my favourite places to stay in Southern Austria/Kärnten. The owner is simply wonderful, breakfast has a lot of options (the host is able to arrange gluten free and/or vegan food if told in advance), comfortable beds, everything is really clean... great price/quality ratio overall. The area is calm and you get to cuddle friendly cats. :) We spent a night there in 2022 and came back in 2023 with friends and once again had an amazing experience. You simply have to book Villa Viola if you have the option!

It was very nice. We enjoyed it here very much. It’s an old castle with fascinating history. At first it was a bit scary, to sleep in a castle, but after a while we fell in love with it. It has some magic about it. We ate in pörtschach in a hawaian restaurant, tasty vegan food. We didn’t try the breakfast. At first look, I felt like running away. At the last one, I felt like I don’t want to leave. It was a unique experience. I’m happy that I experienced this.

The location was excellent, with close proximity (by car) to the Wörthersee and private access to a smaller pond/lake directly in front of the hotel. The rooms are massive, comfortable and super clean. Furthermore, all of the staff were very friendly during our stay. The breakfast buffet was not extensive but offered everything we needed and exceeded my expectations, especially considering the cost.
This was the best hotel I have stayed at in years. The location is perfect. The staff were friendly and easy to understand. I would definitely stay here again!
An incredible experience, highly recommend over any hotel. So much more unique and so much history. The Schloss is so well preserved, will try to come again.
