Hartberg has a lot of historic importance to the area. There is a lot of lovely architecture as well as a Castle and very nice museum. We were able to visit local wineries, stroll the old town center, hike through the beautiful woods to the Ring Lookout tower, as well as a short distance to the Spas. It was perfect for a few days to "get away".

Very nice village / small town. Gmoos is good for running, 3.6km around, and loads of Strava contenders if competition is your thing. The Brauhaus at the main square was my main local for evening food, and the staff there are very nice, and the food is tasty!
Location is great, just a few kilometer from the highway. Very convenient parking, but please get instructions from the hotel staff how to get there before arrival. We liked the breakfast very much.
A delightful hotel directly on the town's main square. My room was very spacious and had a handicapped-friendly large walk-in shower. The bed was comfortable and the desk was adequate.
We are very happy and fortunate to have found such a gem. It's an absolutely wonderful hotel in a very pretty little town. Unforgettable experience altogether. Highly recommended.
