We had a very nice time at Berg-Leben and the friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy. We booked at short notice and were lucky with our choice and were completely satisfied. The hotel is centrally located, the rooms are modern and spacious, the breakfast is a fabulous treat, the ski bus leaves right outside the door and at Christmas time the beautiful Advent market is right on the doorstep. At the reception you are advised about activities and luckily they also informed us that an alpine lodge was closed - otherwise we would have been standing in front of closed doors after a hike. We visit Grossarl in both summer and winter and simply love this valley.

Klaus is exceptional. Friendly accommodating and professional. The attention to detail are fabulous throughout the Hotel. The staff are great too and very helpful when the children had minor food requests. The chef is outstanding, the quality of the food impressive and delicious.

We are a big family group of all ages on a skiing holiday, celebrating the Christmas break. The New Years Eve celebrations were wonderful, Klaus put on a lovely Gala Dinner with multiple courses starting with a glass of Champagne, ending with beer fresh from the kegs, fireworks and midnight buffet. The Goulash is so tasty. Perfectly located for the Ski Schools and slopes.

Grossarl is a booming ski town but in June 2023 the part west of the river was essentially a huge building site. However it was great for mountain walking once away from the town itself. With a guest card (free from your accommodation) one can travel on local buses in the valley for 1 Euro per person per trip! There is a very adequate Billa supermarket.

Very friendly and supportive staff. The hotel rooms look newly renewed, the beds are comfortable and the sceneries in the mountain valley are breathtaking. The staff is friendly and very supportive, they go above and beyond when it comes to helping their guests. There was a mix-up with the room I had booked and the room I was checked into. But the staff quickly found a solution to offer us the best solution. Even at the breakfast, the staff makes sure that all the guest have what they need. This feels like a 5-star hotel, would defiantly book a stay at this hotel again.

Go to the end of the road and take a walk or a horse drawn sleigh ride. It was one of the most beautiful days we had there.
This was our second trip, the first was in June and we loved it without the snow.
Beautiful, very quiet location on a mountain with spectacular, romantic view on the valley below. Cosy and practical appartement, fully equipped, run by friendly and helpful hosts. You'll need your car to get to the Grossarl-Dorfgastein skilifts in about ten minutes while Alpendorf (connected to larger Wagrain-Flachau area) is a short drive as well. In snowy conditions an all wheel drive on proper winter tires is recommended. It will get you up and down the mountain without having to put on chains.
Owners and personnel in the hotel are really great, very helping and attentive, we were given all the necessary info about climbing and interesting staff to do in the town. Location is also nice, even though a bit noisy, but with closed windows it is fine, markets, climbing roots are just by 5 min walking. Restaurant with good service, food and drinks. New and modern design in rooms and hotel, enough space in rooms, beautiful view from the balcony and cool chair.
We stayed for 6 nights (a family of 5). The apartment was very comfortable and had a fantastic view. the kitchen was well equipped, with a coffee machine, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, etc.. The place itself is very quiet and is located near the main road. There is a playing room for children, and we also used the bicycle of the hotel for riding in the area.
In sum, the hotel is highly recommended.

Rooms and spa area clean and pleasant. Ski station 5 min walking distance. Place for a car in garage. The size of hotel is optimal - not too Big, not too small. Creates private sense, allows rest from crowds.
Good hotel, but the main point here - it is EXCEPTIONAL sauna. I put below some pictures of it. Finnish sauna, wet sauna, turkish hammam, spacious rest area with water beds, tea corner, everything brand new! Of course, you got bathrobe, towels etc.
