We had a great stay, the hotel is in a beautiful location and our room had a view of the lake (You can walk/bike easily along to Sankt Wolfgang im Salzkammergut (there is a bike/walk road) and there is a really beautiful walk right in front of the hotel that leads to Strobl). The room itself was comfy and spacious (we had a separated bedroom and livingroom which was really convenient in the evenings with a small child). We had breakfasts and dinners at the hotel and the food was excellent. The staff were really super nice and friendly and gave helpful suggestions for activities and helped us book them. It was a very kid-friendly place even with a playcorner for kids in the restaurant. There is a large playground directly opposite the hotel which we really enjoyed.

The hotel is located in a very beautiful and quiet village, but has easy access to bus and ferry. The room is very clean and has balcony. The room is very big with good ventilation and sunshine. The staff is very friendly and are glad to help you book activities. The restaurant offers delicious local food and it is also very affordable. This is also a family owned hotel and all the family members are very welcoming.

Amazing location right on the lake edge.
Amazing location right on the lake edge. Good transport links nearby (Ferry & bus) for easy access to other areas around the lake. Was a little disappointed there were no ferries in the late evening as taxis to other side of the lake seemed expensive, but we had food in the lovely seehotel down the road. Great place for cycling, running and walking. If your looking for something a bit livelier you could try St Wolfgang or St Gilgen, but Abersee was just right for us.
Hotel was lovely and homely. Staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Nearby was private beach and you could get anywhere with a car. Couple restaurants was 20 minutes walk from the hotel. Good breakfast, all in all pleasent stay, love it!
