To begin with, the reception staff was helpful and friendly from the moment of arrival. The view from my window/balcony, the endless and palm-fringed beach, not to mention the spririt of Vinicius, made my stay a tropical dream come true. Peaceful, with a pool surrounded by a lovely garden; there's also a restaurant on the premises worth recommendation.

Very clean, superb air conditioning, massive apartment, 24 hour security. Perfect communication with the owner and a great location! 5 mins to supermarkets, 5 mins to beach. Fantastic!!

Lovely hotel in really nice safe area of Salvador with good night life n restaurants beside some nice beaches. Set in beautiful old colonial building with a beautiful architect designed modern extension with lovely gardens and courtyard's and some lovely modern art.really excellent breakfast and very very helpful staff when we lost a phone and one of our party had to cut their trip short. An excellent choice, way better than Pellegrino.highly recommended and good value.

The owner, Erica, is so nice and helpful and was very responsive to anything we needed. WiFi was very fast and reliable, and there were 2 tvs with YouTube and Netflix. Everything was very clean, and the apartment came with a balcony with gorgeous views of the Atlantic ocean and beach. Very good aircon. Location to Barra and historic centre easy uber rides away. Very safe around the apartment with very good security. Elevators to apartment available. Highly recommend.

Great stay. Directly on the beach and the hosts were incredibly nice. It would have been nice to be able to leave our luggage at the property so we did not have to spend the day at the beach with our bags - we were worried it might be unsafe but there were life guards around. Besides this, Highly recommend!

I stayed only two nights in Recanto da Paciencia. Best point is the location in Rio Vermelho and close to Paciencia beach. I was very welcomed by the volunteers there !

The house is amazing. It doesn't feel like a hostel, but more like a very comfortable home. It has spaceous, lightful living room, well equiped kitchen, terrace to chill. Staff is great, relaxed but always available for help. It's very very clean. It's located very close to the Barra beach. Definetely one of the best hostels I've ever been to.

This was the third hostel I tried in 24 hours and I was so glad to finally find a place with attentive staff, clean rooms and a great location. Don't be put off by the pictures of the dorms on here, the rooms are very clean and you get fresh linen at check-in. The female dorm with fan was great, beds were comfy and room was bright. There was a bit of an issue with where to put large suitcases/backpacks but otherwise it was great. There are secure lockers for valuables outside the room. I would definitely stay here again.
