Essaouira

At the luxury tent, each unit comes with a wardrobe. All units are equipped with a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, a hair dryer and free toiletries. Guests can enjoy a meal at an outdoor dining area and later warm themselves up in their unit's fireplace. From the start we were greeted by the amazing Sayed and the Agafay team who warmly welcomed us to the property and offered us some delicious mint tea and cookies while our room was being prepared. The location is excellent with beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding valley. The pool is massive and incredibly refreshing to relax at during the hot days. There is a full bar available if you want wine or cocktails and they are happy to serve you by the pool while you relax. The rooms are spacious and well laid out with big windows that overlook the mountains. The beds are comfortable as well. We had dinner on the property and it was phenomenal! There were even local singers that came in to do traditional Moroccan music with dinner. Breakfast was included with the stay and was also excellent (the coffee especially!). Bottom line, I would not hesitate to return to the property and stay again!

Wonderful. This is the place if you're looking for the calm and silent desert experience. (This is what I was looking for in the reviews). It's an adventure to get there, and beautiful once you've reached your destination. It has a feeling of a fancy explorer camp which got a bit dusty, but in a cozy way.
The staff is absolutely lovely, they really go beyond. We felt 110% welcome and safe.
If you have the time take at least two nights - a whole day there is magical. You won't have much to do and will be left mesmerizing about the beautiful desert, the calmness, the warmth.
Tipp - there’s no lunch, so maybe take snacks. And another tipp (if that's something for you) they do have wine!!! 😉

Amazing experience! Well worth it. Sheer expanse, silence, views and sunsets in the desert. So peaceful. Lovely private tents. Fantastic food and Moroccan music and looked after by great staff who were very friendly and could not do more for you. Really enjoyed the camel rideing and quad biking too.
If you’re looking for a night away from the busy streets of the medina then this camp is perfect, it’s an hour drive but only cost us £15 in a taxi! Our luxury tent was absolutely stunning & there’s a good selection of food in the restaurant. We pretty much had the whole camp to ourselves which was really nice. There’s WiFi in the chill area and they don’t serve alcohol but it’s a nice touch for a relaxing day and night in the desert & the staff were welcoming and really friendly
We have stayed in desert tents before and this one is fantastic, super relaxed, fantastic entertainment and very comfortable and the pool was great. I would definitely return.
Beautiful, peaceful riad with wonderful staff including Fatima and Khalid. They made my birthday really special by decorating my room and just couldn't be more helpful. Comfortable bed and pillows, powerful, hot shower, large shared swimming pool, great areas to relax and a wonderful terrace to watch the sunset. A fantastic place to unwind after the hustle and bustle of the Medina.
We had a wonderful stay as a family at Dar Al Assad. The riad was beautiful and Patrice was a perfect host. The location was excellent for Jemaa el-Fna Square, which was about a 5-minute walk. Breakfasts each day in the courtyard were extensive and delicious, and dinner upon arrival on our first night was also lovely. Patrice arranged for a trip for us to the Agafay Desert for a sunset camel ride and Berber dinner, which was wonderful - our guide Hicham was excellent.
The setting was incredible - exactly as the photos show in the middle of the desert. The tents were good - clean and what I think you would expect from that kind of setup so that side of it was good. The transfers to and from the property were good.
It's a great experience to stay in the rocky desert. It was very hot weather but fortunately they have luxury air-conditioned tents and lovely swimming pools. They have a built-in bathtub on the veranda decking outside of each tent, which is fabulous for relaxing and looking at the deserts and mountains in the distance, even the sunset.
Amazing location, in the middle of a beautiful desert wilderness yet close to Marrakech. The staff, particularly Mohammed and his brother, were wonderful hosts. Incredible sunset, stargazing and sunrise. I would love to return.
Beautiful tents with incredible views hidden away in the agafay desert. Each tent has a lovely shower and en-suite facilities - authentic decor and comfortable beds. Best of all Mohammad and his team looked after us so well and the food was delicious - traditional tagine and one of the tastiest we have eaten in our trip. Get there in time for a sunset camel ride then have supper under the stars.
