The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

I didnt know, but it is a traditional Japanese country house, more than 100 years old, tatami floors, futon bed, little gardin looking to the mountains. It was one of my best stays in my Japan trip so far. Also, Ashi (the host) is super nice, he even drived me to Magome the next day free of charge. Thank you, Ashi. I recommend very much.

Featuring a restaurant, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The property is 200 metres from the city centre and 100 metres from Takayama Station. Everything was superb. Near station, friendly staff, good breakfast (for us). If I have a chance to go to Takayama again, I will reserve this hotel.

The private onsen was fantastic especially with the forest in the background. Everything was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The staff was so kind and provided a perfect service. Food was excellent.

The property also provides free pick-up service from JR Takayama Station. The Japanese breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our host, Tai, is exceptionally gracious. He picked us up at the train station, shuttled us to town, and made reservations for two delicious dinners.

It is a 15-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachiman Temple. On-site parking is free. A remarkable ryokan. The service, the attention to detail, the beauty of the place and the comfort of the room made our stay truly memorable.
