The rooms are very spacious, especially for Japan. The rooms are beautifully decorated and modern with a kitchenette, table and small sitting area. We particularly appreciated the washer/dryer in the room. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. One of them called a taxi for us and she was also able to arrange a one day extension of our stay in the room we occupied when my wife became ill and we couldn't leave when originally planned.

The room was very clean and enormous (which was a great treat after several small rooms) and the huge bathtub was perfect after long days of exploring. Super close to Hiroshima station, a bit of a walk to the main sights which wasn’t an issue for us, but there are lots of transport links close by. Would definitely stay there again!

The hostel is right in front of a quiet beach, in a very calm neighborhood. You can hear the waves at night, the birds in the morning, pet the local cat or even sheep. The common space is big and comfortable. The host is really nice, and we were very grateful when she gave us a ride. (the bike location center or supermarkets are a 45 min walk, add 5 min for the ferry to go to Onomichi centre). The traditional japanese room is quite big, with view on the sea. If you have a car this is a perfect place to stay. 100% would come again!

The staff was really accommodating, it's a family-run business and I got a chance to meet both mother and daughter. They could both speak really good English, and were very nice to talk to. I think you can easily realize that the hostel has a bit of a unique style: simple, nothing fancy but really cozy. Great initiative to offer one free drink per night at the bar by the front desk. It creates a cool atmosphere also with other guests. Also, they offer ear-buds, ear-plugs, toothbrush. I was also happy to find shaving gel. I would have easily spent more than one night and I would recommend everyone to stay at Roku! Nice location, walking distance to the main attractions, and close to JR train station and tram stop.

Toilets and bathrooms are shared, and free toiletries are provided. 88 House was in a beautiful location on a hill out of the city. A babbling stream flowing past I'm a rural area. The owners were kind and friendly. There were lots of Japanese artifacts and traditional Japanese games to play on a table with a heated rug underneath. Sadly we only stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer. There was a shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
