On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the holiday home's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Very clean and cosy chalet with a nice view on the lake. Good communication with the host (messages) but we didn't meet her.
Stromness

Neil and Kay treat you like family. They are kind, and generous (loaned us high vis jackets for our bike rides), sewing items to repair my slippers, and are excellent cooks. Breakfast was generous and very tasty. Local fish, fresh fruit, eggs, toast and preserves. Bed was perfect. So comfortable. Perfect location down near the pier.
Kirkwall

The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and helpful...I left my bag at breakfast and had communication via booking in a short time. Had we not returned the owner was going to take the bag to our next stop...this was absolutely amazing! Also breakfast was wonderful! I highly recommend

If I ever find myself in Kirkwall again, I'll definitely stay here. I stayed in a big, probably recently renovated studio room with its own entrance, and basically didn't want to leave the room. The breakfast was amazing and the host the loveliest person. I slept well and was very well fed also!

A great location on the edge of Pierowall, the main village on Westray. A traditional cottage, furnished traditionally with some mod cons, but don’t expect a modern luxury house. Lovely big comfortable queen size bed. Dog friendly with a yard, garden area straight outside the back door. 10 minute walk to the hotel pub/restaurant, which does excellent and inexpensive food, dogs allowed in the back bar. Food stores 3 minutes walk away.
Spacious bright room, great breakfast, ideal location
The room we were given had a feature window overlooking the firth which was lovely - we also had shared access to an eating area with a similar feature window which we enjoyed using for our breakfasts and simple dinners. Our room was large and spotless - showed great care by our host. The location proved perfect, being 8 min drive from Kirkwell but in the direction of most of our target sights.
Perfect location just a short drive from the ferry and a manageable drive into Kirkwall. Spotless and comfortable accommodation, ideal for our group of three.

Alexander was a perfect host, the apartment was very clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated and the location was excellent, close to the town of Stromness but lovely country location, quiet and good views. This property was ideal for our stay with a family of four. The location is perfect and the place is very clean, cozy and well appointed. The shower pressure was great (and a nice large shower too) and it had all the appliances needed. Very cosy and warm inside, with heating units in both the ground floor and upstairs, despite some pretty cold April temperatures outside. there is an amazing cafe right across the street, and we did takeaway breakfasts and lunches that we took back to the place. I highly recommend staying at Orkneyinga!
