Amazing location in the most stunning village in the Lake District. A very easy check in and out process, fantastic communication from staff, all the essentials provided. A very comfortable apartment and so good to have a full sized fridge in the kitchen! The apartment comes with a parking pass too, which made the stay much easier and more affordable. So many incredible choices for food and shopping within the town too. An excellent selection of chain retailers and local stores.

Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts. I stayed 3 nights in a single room. Wanslea Guest House is close to the piers of Ambleside and also close to the city centre. From the backdoor starts a beautiful hike to Wansfell Pike. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. You get to choose from a breakfast menu the day before und they also have cereal. The breakfast itself was delicious! The owners were really nice and so helpful, gave recommendations for hikes and if you need anything, they'll make it possible. Parking is free and you get discount for some restaurants in Ambleside.
